Chapter 8: Healing and Embracing

Jeremiah POV:

Sitting on the cold wet bloody floor, watching them carrying her out of the room, with tears drenching my face. Sudden guilt of leaving that room rushes over me in the coldest stabbing way, ~if only I didn't leave that room to use the restroom if only I would have known the cause if only I had spoken up about why I needed to leave, this is all my fault, I nearly killed her.~ the thoughts running around and around in my head, on repeat. "So, sir how did you know she was going to do this," the PA says sternly, "well, Jordan, Allan, and I have been sending her messages, emails, calling her, and trying to explain why I left the room. But sir she wasn't responding, and this has happened many times beforehand, so when she wasn't answering I knew something was off, so I tracked her location. She responded to me, "the pain is almost gone," then nothing, she was crying and panicking, so I broke through the door, and got in just on time." he looked into my eyes seriously, and signed, "all right, you did good kid," he says, walking away. I was hoping for him to tell me I did good, it was all just a test, but he didn't and he never turned back.

Bailey's POV:

As my eyelids began to open slightly, white lights were beaming bright, making it hard to see, remembering the last thing that happened; "where's Jeremiah, JEREMIAH," I began to freak out, and panic. "I'm right here, I'm right here bailey." he said calmly, I turn to face him, as the lights began to dim a bit, my eyes adjusting to the light, "all I wanted was the pain to go away, i c-c-couldn't handle it, I-I-I." He cuts me off, "I know, I know." he taps my head, kissing the back of my head, "I thought I lost you, I was so terrified." tears rolled down his face, "let's just forget what happened in the room, can we please be together," I whined. "Bailey I really had to shit, and I didn't think you were being serious." He explained to me, making us both let out a giggle. "I took all the blades, how did you get a hold of one?"

"It was already in the bathroom in the toolbox, I cleaned it off, and slid in the tube, and... and... a-a.." stopping from my stutter, he cuts in, adding; "I know Bailey, I do. You don't need to explain to me." the doctor comes in, "so rehab or anything of the sort?" She asks, looking down at my clipboard. "No, Nah, I'll be looking after her, did that office bring her bags and stuff to the penthouse?" he asked. "Yes and alrighty then that's all you need, here's the paperwork and yall are all set to head out, just sign out if you would." leaving the room, with a trace of cold air. "I-I'm so s-sorry," I stuttered out. "I forgive you. Don't ever, EVER do this again, do you understand me?" he hissed. "Y-yes, I promise," I let out a light smile, and turn away, as we roam through the halls finding our way to the exit.

"Would you like to eat out, or just go back to the penthouse to eat?" Turning his head to look me in the eyes, "I don't really wanna go home right now... so could we please go out?" I asked, looking out the window, "I was hoping that would be the answer." He turned his car into the Dinn In and parked close to the front entrance. "That's why we went this way! Because you wanted to eat here." He grinned; "damn you caught me."

~

He opened my door and helped me out. As we entered, a tall black haired-women approached us, "I'm Jess and I'll be waitressing you guys, table or a booth?" Jer looked in my direction tapping his foot for me to answer. I looked around, and as my sleeve lifted showing my bandage, I started pointing to the place I wanted us to be seated; "could we please have the booth over there by that window," She looked annoyed and seated us. Placing the menus on the table, "your waitress will be right with you." She walked off. "I thought that she was our waitress," looking down at the menu. "Yeah I thought so too, guess she doesn't like us." We both giggled, "we get that too much, to be honest." We gathered up what we wanted and kept it in our minds. I could tell that Jeremiah's hair laid perfectly slick back. It lifts up his face and makes him look so much brighter. "I'm really sorry I walked out, I didn't think that you were being serious." He pleaded, "I know, I know, it's not your fault I reacted like that. I shouldn't have done it. I just wanted the pain to go away. For good." I took his hand and held it on the table, "my decision is not your fault, it was mine." I reassured him and looked over to the tall skinny man walking towards our booth. "Hello Folks, what can I get you guys today? My name is Renold." He pulls out a notepad and pen, giving us a stare. "I would like a Bud Weiser and my lady would like Red Wine," the waitress nodded and walked back into the kitchen area. "You really know your way into my heart, doncha?" I teased, looking at him impressed. "Oh of course I do, because if I didn't know my way into your heart, I wouldn't be dating you, now would I?" I laughed and looked out the window. "So when will I be back at work?" I asked, the waiter put my glass on the table and filled it up, and Jer cracked open his ice-cold beer. "What would you guys like to eat for the night?" ~ "He would like an 8 once steak medium well done, with a side of loaded potatoes and the house salad. I would like a taco bowl, with the side of chips and salsas, and a fruit bowl." I smiled at Jer, "alright that will be ready in about 30 minutes tops,"
