Third person point of view

It was already dark and the gallery was closing soon.

Zero patiently watched the door, heavily expecting someone everytime it opens since this morning but for probably the thousandth time, he was disappointed.

Will he still come?

Did he leave for good?

Is this gonna be the end?

He was losing hope.

"Sir, the gallery is closing soon." One of the gallery assistants said.

"Can you give me just a few more minutes?" Zero politely asked.

The assistant smiled and nodded before they left.

Zero sighed and sat at one of the benches, looking down and thinking about what to do.

He looks up and sees the large painting he did.

He saw those familiar eyes again that even if his brush strokes a hundreds of times, he just can't replicate it in his canvas at how perfect it is.

The galaxy of freckles along his cheeks and across his nose bridge that amazes him everytime he looks at it, while always fighting the urge to boop his little nose at how cute they are.

The lips where he spends the most time painting, because everytime he looks at it
makes it hard for him to try and not to stare and actually paint it.

It was his favorite details of Khyle.

Which is why he painted more canvases with him as a model and is now exhibited at the gallery.

This was his way of confessing his feelings he never realized was there until now.

He always thought Khyle was pretty and a beautiful person ever since they first met.

But he didn't realized he was actually falling for the junior and it was not just because he's a great model.

He didn't want to ruin the friendship between him and Khyle so he got himself a girlfriend, expecting for the feelings to fade.

But it just grew stronger and he was eventually cheated on by his girlfriend.

He realized he was wrong.

When Khyle started avoiding him, he thought the junior was getting tired of being a model for him.

He didn't know the younger also has feelings for him all this time.

He was scared of rejection and ruining everything again.

He always thought he was the problem that's why he loses people or they abandon him, because he experienced it many times already.

They were just both scared from the mistakes of the past.

It isn't easy to trust again when you've been betrayed or lost something important.

Zero sighed and stood up.

He isn't coming.

He finally accepts it.
