"Girl! Dry your fucking eyes!", Lola huffed.

"Don't be so mean. She's seriously heartbroken, I've never seen her cry over a guy like this.", Yami sighed while running her hand through my hair.

"It'll be fine, Val. At least he's not keeping you trapped.", Rose spoke up causing all talking to stop.

"No. You just give up too easy.", Lola mumbled.

"What?", Rose asked turning her entire body to Lola.

"You heard me, Rose. You have time right now for you to escape but instead you sit here and later you will go back to him!", Lola's voice held so much disgust, I was kind of getting worried.

"Lola, you don't know shit!", Rose yelled standing from the couch.

"I know enough. I. Know. Enough. I know when I have to come take you to the hospital in the middle of the night, I know when he starves you, I know it all!", Lola yelled standing up also.

"Oh shit.", Drake said standing and getting in between them.

"Y'all, cut that shit out. It's been years, Rose is going to do what Rose thinks is best for her and her family.", Heather spoke while standing also.

"No, Rose doesn't give a damn about her family.", Lola yelled and began to grab her stuff.

"Lola....where are you going?", Yami whined.

"I'm leaving. I can't sit here and act any longer. She knows....we know that this is sick. It's sick! Get fucking help, Rose. Therapy ain't going to stop Louis from killing your ass.", Lola huffed stomping to the front door and leaving.

Once the door slammed shut, Rose began to gather her things too.

"I-I'm going to head out too. I love you guys.", She said rushing out also.

My tears have dried up and I was sitting there wide eyed.

I knew Louis was beating Rose ass, the entire family knows.

What I didn't know was how Lola felt about it.

"Lola needs to learn to read the room because I was not seeing that coming.", Drake chuckled.

"No, seriously. That was really fucked up. Rose is having a hard time this week.", Heather sighed.

"Leo and Gabe are supposed to be heading over and I don't even want to tell Leo what just happened. You know he'll go through hell for her.", Drake added.

"Leo needs to understand that Rose loves him as a brother and that's that. She may have twerked on him years ago but oh well. Both Lola and Leo need to see the bigger picture.", Yami added.

"What is the bigger picture?", I asked.

All the grown folks looked at me like they forgot I was there.

"The bigger picture she is talking about is when you form a strong bond with someone, it is very hard to break, it doesn't matter what that person does to the other, they will always be together. That's why I decided to not get married, some people take 'til death do us part' seriously.", Heather interjected.

"You have to know your boundaries, Valerie. Your body is a temple. What you let in can either build or destroy you so choose wisely.", Drake added.
