|Valerie|

Grey ran into the house dragging Louis along with him.

"Lola, get the fucking keys! We have to go!", he screamed.

Looking over at everyone else who was running in, I noticed that everyone was inside besides Rose, Oliver and Greg.

Louis had blood dripping from his face all down his body.

I wanted to throw up.

Devin stood up and stepped in front of me.

"What the fuck is going on?", He asked with authority in his voice.

"You and your crazy ass step dad need to get the fuck out! He just shot my dad in the fucking head!", one of Rose's younger sons yelled.

Everyone ran out of the kitchen leaving just Devin and I.

"Shit.", Devin cussed.

"What's going on?", I asked reaching up and placing my hand on his lower back.

"Valerie....I'm going to disappear for a while but...I do love you....I love everything about you and when I come back, you'll be mine.", he rushed out while bending down to my level.

I didn't believe a word he was saying.

How can you sit and talk shit with your friends about our personal business and act like we're cool after the fact.

A man with too much mouth is a bitch.

Shaking my head, I looked away from him.

He sighed, stood back up and walked out to the backyard.

I stood up too and peeked around the corner, out of the door way.

Outside I could see Rose hugging Greg and Oliver yelling at someone through his phone.

"Mama, do you have your bags ready?", Oliver asked Rose.

"Yes!", she smiled.

"This plan isn't going to work unless you hold up your end of the bargain.", Devin spoke.

He sounded totally different then when he talks to me or his friends at school, he sounded like a totally different person.

"I will. I'm going to miss you and your brothers, Oliver.", Rose spoke placing her hand on his cheek.

"Mama, I'd rather you be alive than dead. Plus, when the boys are older and can keep their mouths shut, we will come see you.", he replied.

"Promise?", she asked him.

"Promise.", he replied.

"Alright. The plane is waiting for it's pilot. Let's go.", Devin smiled.

"Get her there safe and without a trace.", Greg spoke.

Suddenly Devin snapped his head in my direction and locked eyes with me.

I quickly pulled my head out of sight and took a deep breath.

Something strange was going on here.

"I went away this concrete don't have love for me

I took a day, too much talk and not much to see

I know you always speak on something

So I'll leave on the mic for you

And I'm going all the way

But I'll leave on the lights for you

I'm going all the way

And now you're almost out of view
