Chapter 6

Well, it's finally Friday. My mom said I could go with Austin tomorrow! Yay! I walked to lunch with my new friend, Becky Simpson.

Becky Simpson is an amazing person. She has a boyfriend named Jack Wills (see what I did there?!?!). Personally, I don't like him. Oh well. He's not mine.

"Hi Cat!" Austin said to me. "Your boyfriend is Austin Mahone?!?!" Becky said eyeing him up and down. I laughed. "No. We're just friends. Best friends really." I said. Austin had a disappointed look on his face but he acted as if nothing happened.

I joined Austin at our tiny lunch table. Becky and Jack followed us. I pulled Becky aside. "I didn't know it was Jack. But I saw him with Stephanie." I whispered. Becky turned red.

She ran towards him and slapped him on his face. "You damn cheated on me! How dare you!" She said with tears steaming down her face.

"You finally noticed? You're slower than the other girls." Jack said. Other girls?!?! I swear, I hope I don't end up with someone like him. Jack got his lunch and went somewhere else.

Me and Austin hugged her and dried her tears. She said she would go to the washroom and fix her makeup.

"About what you said earlier. We're just friends? Best friends?" Austin asked me. "Yea. Haven't we always been like that?" I asked a question that doesn't need to be answered. I felt bad. I wanted him to ask me out.

"What did you just say?' He asked me. Oops. I think I said the last sentence out loud. I just looked at the ground nervously.

"Caitlyn, I never thought I'd say this, but will you go out with me? I've fallen for you to hard, and I can't get up anymore." Austin said looking right in my eyes. "I thought you'd never ask." I said and we kissed. I guess wishes do come true.
