November 8th, 1985
( y/ns POV )

I woke up, looking at the alarm on Eddie's bedside table. ( 4:32AM ). I realized I had to get up in a little bit under 10 minutes.

After focusing on the time, I quickly realized me and Eddie. We were still in the exact same position we fell asleep in last night. I let out a sigh. Why now? I'm in the arms of the boy i've liked since 9th grade, and now I have to leave for the airport.

Before I was gonna move, I figured I should at least enjoy some of the moment. I laid there in his arms. My head was still nestled in his chest. I smiled into his body.

I could hear his slow breaths. I could feel his chest moving up and down. Suddenly, I had to get up.

Fuck me.

I slowly sat up, trying not to wake Eddie up. I miserably failed as he woke up the second I moved an inch off of him. Was he really that comfortable that he immediately realized I moved?

He started to rub his eyes, as he took a deep breath in and looked over at me. "Y/n..." he groaned out in a raspy morning voice.

Holy shit.

I had never heard his morning voice, normally from never being to stay at his house until now. "What are you doing up?" he asked me. "Uhm, I probably should have told you yesterday, but me and Robin are going to California for her birthday. I have to leave to pick her up and go to the airport." I whispered. "Wait, right now?" he asked. "Yes dummy." I laughed out quietly. "Well, when will you be back?" he asked in a whiny voice. "I'll be back next Friday." I said biting my lip.

"Woah, woah. So your telling me you won't be back until 8 days from now?!" he whisper yelled. "Yes Eddie. I'm sorry I should have told you sooner." I said.

"No it's fine. I'm just giving you shit, but what do I do with Jason. He's definitely gonna fuck me up if you're not at school." Eddie asked. "I'm sure you'll be fine Eddie. If he bothers you just ignore him." I said. "Fineeeee." he responded laying back down.

I walked over to his dresser and grabbed my pants from the day prior. I slipped them on and grabbed the rest of my things. I stared at Eddie laying there. Seeing his back go up and down as he breathed in and out.

I walked over to where he was laying, I squatted down and asked him about the night before. "Uhm, about last night." I started talking hesitantly. Eddie sat up. "Oh, don't worry about it. It was just re-living old times. Right?" Eddie said with a small smile. "Uh yeah. That was what I was gonna say." I said swallowing. "Bye Eddie. I'll see you soon. It will be over before you know it. I love you." I whispered in his ear before kissing his cheek.

"Bye y/n. I'll see you soon. I love you, but uh. Can you come over Friday when you get home?" Eddie asked. "Of course Eddie. I'll be here around 3pm." I said smiling. "Alright. See you then." Eddie said smiling and laying back down.

I walked out of his room and out of his trailer. Shutting the front door silently. I walked into the early November morning. I turned on my car and drove to pick up Robin and head to the airport.

I know I should be excited about California. It's all I should be thinking about, but since I've left his trailer, until now sitting at the airport gate...

All I can think about is Edward Munson.
