November 27th, 1986

I woke up to the sun beaming through my blinds. I looked over at the time and saw that it was already 7:00am. We didn't have school today because we had bad weather the night before and there was ice all over the roads. Well, until an hour ago when salt was poured, it was basically gone now.

I was happy we didn't have school, I was feeling kind of under the weather anyways. I think it was a very small cold, nothing I couldn't get over in a day. Suddenly my walkie-talkie started to make static noises, and I heard someone talking through the radio.

"Y/n?...y/n...wake up sleepy head." Eddie's voice rang through the radio. I let out a groan and got out of bed and slowly walked over to the walkie-talkie. "Yes Eddie? What's so important that you feel the need to talk to me at 7am?" I groaned.

"Woah, someone woke up feisty this morning." Eddie laughed. "Mm." I said in an annoyed tone, I did an annoyed smile while doing it, and even though he didn't see it, I like to think he realized I wasn't having it. "So what are the plans today?" Eddie asked excitedly.

"Uh, probably nothing. It's cold, and i'm sort of under the weather." I said. "Wait you're sick?" he asked suddenly. "Mhm." I said tiredly. "I'm coming over." he said. "What?" I asked. "I'm coming over to your house." he said. I could hear him start to move around and grab his stuff.

"Wait Eddie, I gotta ask my mom first." I said quickly. He immediately stopped, "Okay." he said. I walked over to my door and yelled downstairs. "Mom!" I yelled. "What is it sweetie?!" she asked. "Can Eddie come over?!" I yelled. "Uh, if he doesn't care that you're sick, I guess there's nothing stopping him!" my mom yelled. "Thanks mom!" I yelled.

"Eddie, my moms fine with it." I said through the walkie-talkie. "Okay, i'll be there in thirty minutes." he said. "Mkay." I said softly. I swung the radio down by my thigh, and leaned against the door frame. I looked back up and saw Nancy and Mike standing at there doors. "Could you yell any quieter?" Nancy said annoyed. "Yeah, it's 7:15 in the morning, chill out." Mike yelled.

"Fine!" I yelled at them. I walked back into my room and laid down on my bed, pulling the covers over me. I turned the tv on and started watching cartoons, while waiting for Eddie.

A little while later, I heard a vehicle park in our driveway, and then I heard knocking on our front door. "Coming!" my dad said from downstairs. "Eddie! How's it going?" my dad said. "It's good, thanks for asking Mr. Wheeler." Eddie said. I smiled to myself, glad to see my parents liked Eddie. "Y/ns upstairs in her room." my dad said.

I heard Eddie quietly walk upstairs and he knocked on my door. I groaned loudly about having to get up and walked over to the door. I looked up at Eddie giving him an annoyed smile. "Hey! I get my appearance isn't very exiting, but at least have some appreciation for snacks!" Eddie yelled.

He raised the plastic bags he had to where I could see them. My mouth dropped open. "Snacks?!" I asked. "Mhm." Eddie said smiling and nodding at me. He walked into my room and walked over to my bed, setting the bags on my bed.

Then he took a second look at me. "Hey! Did you steal my shirt?" he asked pointing at the shirt I was wearing. "Uh-no? I just borrowed it from your closet a few days ago." I said smiling. Eddie laughed while pulling his shirt off, exposing his slightly toned chest. I saw him notice my bottom half, which caused me to smile more.
