The sound of Levi's blades cutting through the nape of the titan resonated among the trees and the buildings that they were surrounded by. To some, this sound was sickening, but to Levi, it was the sound of victory.

"AHH!" Came the cry of another soldier. Levi rushed to save him, but this was an aberrant titan, and upon hearing Levi coming closer it didn't pay attention to the fast-food in front of it, but to the annoying bug behind it. It turned its mighty head in an attempt to bite Levi out of the air, but Levi was too quick and turned away from the titan's jaws easily.

Except, when he turned away, there was another titan waiting for him with an invitation to Levi's funeral in its hand and mouth open wide. Levi's eyes opened in shock as he slipped in between the titan's lips and into its mouth. Levi's arm was caught in between its teeth and the titan chomped down on it. Levi's face was full of panic and alarm as he saw the jaws closing. A sickening scream escaped Levi as he felt his arm being bitten off. Crows left their trees and birds became uneasy as his screams echoed throughout the small, titan infested village. Anyone could have heard it for miles, even if you were deaf you would've at least felt something in your ears.

Armin was the closest to Levi, and came to his aid at once. He realized that Levi was inside the titan's mouth and he quickly sliced at its jaws to find a half alive Levi that had stuck a sword into the roof of the titan's mouth as an anchor in the sea that was titan saliva.

"Don't worry!" Armin yelled, in an effort to keep Levi calm even though it really didn't help. "I'll get you out!"

Get him out he did. Armin stuck a sword into the titans mouth to keep it from shutting, but it was only a small sword that would break very soon underneath the pressure when Armin stopped applying force. He had to do this quick or Captain Levi would die. He let go of his sword, swooped in, grabbed hold of Levi and swooped back out as quick as he could. Armin's cape got caught in the titan's mouth, but Armin cut it off from him quickly before it affected their ascent. He set Captain Levi down on a nearby roof and dealt with the aberrant. After it was dead, he ran back to a horrifying sight that was Levi.

"Captain Levi!" He exclaimed. "You're losing too much blood," he said almost to himself.

"Armin," Levi said in a barely audible tone. "Take me... over to the trees."

"What? No, we need to get you to a medic!"

"ARMIN!" Levi yelled. He said much quieter, "I want to die... by a tree, so please... just do it."

Armin slowly nodded his head. "Okay, Levi."

Levi breathed, "Thank you, Armin."

Armin picked Levi up (a much bigger challenge than it would seem), and carried him over to a nearby forest where there was a giant tree. He laid Levi in a half-sitting up position, up against the tree. Armin realized that this really was the end for Levi. He was losing too much blood in a much too short amount of time. Captain Levi, Humanity's Strongest, was really going to die. Right in front of him, too. He'd have to be the one to get his last words. What a strange thing to think about Levi.

"I can't wait to die," Levi said.

"What?" Armin asked.

"I'll... I'll be able to see them all again. There's... there's Petra, Isabel, Farlan, Gunther... Erd, Aurou, Eren, Mikasa... do I have to go on? Hey Armin..."

"Yeah?"

"Do you want me to say hi to Eren and Mikasa for you?"

Armin was on the verge of tears. "Yes, yes please. If you see them, tell them I miss them. Tell everyone in my family I miss them."
