◢◤◢◤◢◤ Circuit 08 ◢◤◢◤◢◤"Theo! Where are you taking me?" I mumbled impatiently as my shorter legs keep up with his longer ones.
The hand he is holding is still intertwined, and he pushes a door to our right until he is sure it is empty and out of anyone else's sight before closing it behind him.
"Oh," I let out, excitement bubbling in the pit of my stomach. "I didn't know you were into this sneaky stuff."
Theo pulls me in before shutting the door behind me with his foot, then lets go of my hand as he turns around to meet my playful gaze. In an effort to close the blinds on the glass windows, Theo pulls the strings behind me.
Crossing my arms against my chest, I walk closer to him to close the distance between us. He doesn't seem to be phased by it so I look up and stare into his eyes. They're the most striking grey I've ever seen, and I'm hypnotized by them. I lean in closer, allowing his malevolent scent to fill my nostrils.
As I admired his hair, I found myself whispering, "You never fail to amaze me, Theo." It looked good, even compared to mine when I spent hours on it and it looked like I hadn't done much work. Whenever I am with him, I can't help but ask, "How do you stay so...well-groomed" perfect is what I meant, "after hours of classes?"
When I see Theo's face slowly burning with a rosy tint, I fight the urge to smirk, biting the side of my cheek. Despite the tight line on his lips, they appear soft and pillowy under my eyes.
He shifts his gaze elsewhere in this small room as if he is too shy to look into mine for too long, and he awkwardly clears his throat. "I... I'm sorry," His words are muddled as he stumbles over them, but it doesn't change how I see him.
"About what exactly?" I say with a lighter tone, wanting him to feel at ease talking to me. I figured my bluntness made him uncomfortable. He seems introverted around me, so if it means he'll let his guard down a little, I don't mind lowering my energy level.
Though there are some things I can't control, such as my body's reaction whenever he was near me or when my mouth spoke out my intrusive thoughts.
"For forcing me inside a room or telling me to shut up?" I said jokingly, unable to hide the sheepish grin on my face as I remembered his calm and reserved demeanor just moments before and the fact that he told me to shut up.
"Your girlfriend would not be happy," I uttered with a click of my tongue, suddenly remembering there is a girl in the picture.
Theo falls silent as he thinks of a reply.
"Both," he eventually says, eyes slowly penetrating mine. My smile grows even wider as I notice him gradually relaxing.
