(7) Unexpected Phenomenon (Zane - OW)

(Time for a ghostpreg fic. I saw one on FA and I thought it was pretty good. So why not do one myself. Enjoy!)

Hello everyone, I am Zane Otter Ryder and this is Ghost Neighborhood. Here we explore the many phenomenon that happen in this town I live in. Me and my three friends hunt for ghosts and clear haunted buildings to give the people peace of mind. In today's episode, we, well I, will be investigating the Riverwater elementary school.

The whole time Zane had spoke, the camera was facing toward the school in question. It was then turned around to reveal Zane himself. A young white man who still looks to be in his teens with soft brown eyes and short orange hair. I was challenged by my friends to do the investigation on my own.

I may have misinterpret what they meant and actually came here by myself but, maybe this is what they meant. Anyway what I know is this, the principal of the school told us, many students and staff have reported hearing what sounded like an echoing cry of a baby near the bathrooms in the cafeteria. But, security couldn't find anything. Let's go see if it's a ghost. Zane starts to walk to the school. The footage skips forward.

So here we are in the cafeteria, I managed to switch on the light so, let's check out the bathrooms. Zane walks over to the bathrooms and enters the boys room first. Well, let's wait for a moment and see if we can hear anything. Zane waited for a moment before he heard it. An echoing cry of an infant.

At first Zane didn't say anything, after a few seconds he spoke again. Okay so, it seems like I need my camera to see it. On camera the wisp started to get closer. Oh uh, this might not be good. The camera was angled down to show the wisp getting very close to Zane's abdomen. Then without warning, it phased into his stomach.

Zane was heard gasping before the camera slipped out of his grip. It landed on the ground on it's side somehow pointing at the young man. It showed Zane's belly growing as it glowed followed by him moaning and groaning. Zane's belly soon stopped growing but, the young man had passed out once it was over. The screen said low battery before the it went black.

A while later

Zane found himself waking up in a hospital bed with a slight headache and a weird feeling of added weight to his gut. He looked around and spotted his fellow ghost searchers in chairs by the bed. Sasha, an 22 year old female African American, who is the oldest of the group, is the first to notice him.

"Oh thank god you're awake!" she stated grabbing the attention of the other two. Trish, a 19 year old white girl spoke up next. "How are you feeling?" "My stomach feels a little heavy" Zane said looking to see he has a bulge in his gut. "About that..." Owen, a 20 year old Japanese-American male, began to speak.

"When we found you in the boys restroom in the school's cafeteria. I looked back in the footage of your camera, after we recharged it of course, and well uh, we think you're pregnant with the ghost now" he told Zane. "What? How?" Zane asked. "Well, you didn't have a belly as you always keep yourself in good shape" Owen said.

"Yeah and then a ghost phases into your stomach and now, you have a pregnant belly. Not to mention the ghost is a infant" Trish said. It was then a female doctor entered the room "hello Mr. Ryder, I'm glad to see you're awake" Zane sighs at the use of his last name.

"Your friends had showed me the footage so I ran tests while you were out like a light and well... I can only really say congratulations. You're pregnant" the doctor said giving Zane the test results. Zane looked over the results and was shocked  at what he saw. Somehow the ghost that had entered him managed to create a womb for it to stay in. He really is pregnant now.

According to the results he is believed to be six months along. He then felt a kick "it's kicking already" he said softly rubbing his belly. "How are we going to explain this?" he asked he friends.

A while later

The stream starts with the activation of a webcam. Zane is shown sitting behind a desk. Hello everyone, you all are probably wondering what happened to me last night from that video that was upload an hour and a half ago. In short I was in the hospital for the rest of the night, I was given the okay this morning to return home but, I have to go back regularly for check ups now.

The reason for that is... well, I'll just show you guys. Zane rolls his office chair back and lifted up his shirt to reveal his big belly to the stream. I'm going to be a father. So what happen was the ghost phased into my belly and formed a womb inside, probably a second chance at life we guessed.

So uh, the doctor did offer to remove the fetus but, I decided to keep the child and let it grow inside me. So yeah, I have to go in for check ups as my pregnancy progresses. Not only that but, the doctor is sure I'm at six months right now. We are still trying to find out how the child had died and when it happened.

Zane looked to side no doubt looking at chat and he winces at the many questions popping up in chat. He sighs Okay uh first question-

The screen went black

You blink as everything in your room turns off at once. A power outage? You grab your flashlight and went to your basement to find the circuit breaker. Only to hear an echoing cry of an infant. You wince, it's going to happen to you isn't it?
