Not quite famous

Alex's POV

I was writing some lyrics in my journal.

An alarm blasted "Alright campers! Enough beauty sleep! Time to show us what you're made of!" Chris said over the intercom.

I sighed, before getting out of bed, shoving a cereal bar in my pocket and trudging towards some weird stage we were told to meet at.

I sat down beside Courtney. "How'd you sleep?" i asked

"I slept. That's an improvement" she replied.

"Are we gonna see a musical? I love musicals! especially the ones with singing and dancing!" Lindsay said dumbly.

"Gwen! saved you a seat!" Trent said to gwen

"Thanks" Gwen said, sitting beside him. Trent leans back, and Cody tries copying him, but falls backwards. I bit my lip to hold in a laugh.

Lindsay blew a kiss to Tyler. Heather whipped her head around, smacking her ponytail into Lindsay's face.

"Welcome to our brand new state of the art outdoor amphitheater!" Chris announced "This week's challenge is a summer camp favourite. A talent contest!".

I shuddered at the mention of such a thing. "Yes! Awesome!" Owen cheered

"each team has eight hours to pick their three most talented campers." Katie and sadie squealed happily "Sing, dance, juggle, anything goes. As long as it's legal" Chris said, giving Duncan the 'I'm watching you' sign. Duncan snapped his fingers in dissapointment.

"You'll be judged by our resident talent scout. Former Dj, Vj and rap legend, graaaaaand masta Chef! Who wil show his approval via, the chef-o-metre. The team that loses will send one camper home tonight. Good luck"

Katie and Sadie were doing some weird dance to pop music. "NEXT!" Courtney said.

Tyler did some yo-yo tricks, which started off ok, but he ended up hitting himself in the balls and getting tangled in his yo-yo.

"man, that is weak!" Chris said, walking by. Tyler hopped off to untangle himself.

Dj did a ribbon dance, which was actually pretty impressive. When he finished we all clapped. "Fine, sign him up" Courtney sighed "Who's next?"

"Me! i can stand on my hands for twenty minutes!" Bridgette said excitedly, before flipping onto her hands.

"Ok, that'd be cute if you were a monkey. I just don't think it's what we're looking for" Courtney said "next". Bridgette flipped down from her hands.

"Show me that later" i whispered to her as she sat down. She smiled. "For sure".

Courtney played some violin, which she was really good at, we decided that she was in.

Harold walked up and was about to do something, but the second he inhaled, Courtney said "Next!".

"Alex? You got any talents?" Courtney asked "You had a guitar, maybe you could play that?"

"I'm not that good, and we want to win" I shrugged.

Alex: I've been told I'm a decent musician, but I kinda have stage fright. I just freeze up with all those eyes on me

"Ok. Geoff?" Courtney said. Geoff got a skateboard and did some cool tricks, which impressed everyone.

"Well, I guess it's Geoff, Dj's ribbon thing, and your solo" Bridgette said to Courtney.

"I'm gonna be on tv dudes!" Geoff cheered
