Reincarnated as nightmare sans from Dreamtale

chapter 19

"fluffy what now?" moon asked in complete and utter confusion. 

"its called fluffytale moon." I said smiling. 

"yeah I heard you, what I mean is....'cough' I didn't think you wanted a pet that bad mom. 'snicker' " moon said laughing. 

"oh ha ha very funny moon. no this is different, you know sans right?" I asked. 

"...uh yeah the guy with the blue hoody right?" moon asked. 

"yup! now imagine he lives in a city and owns a cat cafe. thats basically what this alternate reality is based on." I said as I parked. moon just blinked comically. 

".....wow." moon said with a voice filled with disbelief. 

"hehehehehehehehe" I couldn't stop laughing till we were already up the stairs and in moons room packing. I suspect moving to a whole new au and showing moon what its like will be an experience. 

"hardy har har mom I don't think my reaction was that funny you know?" moon said over my constant laughter. 

"thats what you think." I replied. I took a couple minutes to recover and then I was back to myself and wiping away a few stray tears. 

"alright now let's get this packing over with shall we?" I asked. 

"alright!" moon said back. 

we spent a couple hours just packing and packing and packing till it was already 5. 

"say....since we are done what do you think about getting some early dinner? I forgot to make lunch so I'm starved." I asked as I put a few boxes in the trunk of our car. 

"sure! where are we going?" moon asked. 

"well it is our last day here so why don't you decide?" I asked. moon mulled it over for a bit before giving me my answer. 

time skip

after our last night in this god forsaken au it was finally time to leave the next day. 

"alright I think thats everything cmon moon get in the car." I said impatiently. 

"ok ok! how are we going to get there anyways? to the new au or whatever can you even make a portal big enough to fit the whole car?" moon asked. 

"yes I can and we'll be driving to somewhere where there are no people first I can't go making a portal in the middle of the street now can I?" I asked. 

we got in the car and I started driving it took us a solid few minutes but when we reached a pretty much abandoned road I opened the portal. moon looked at the huge circling mist of black and cyan in wonder. soon enough we were through and coming out of the other side in another abandoned road on our way to find some place to stay in the city. 

"OMG! that was so freaking cool mom!" moon exclaimed. 

"hehe yeah? well thats the last time you will see it unless we need to move again honey." I said breaking the news. 

"aw..well I still think that portal thing was amazing! hey how do you do it? can anyone do it?" moon asked. 

"I'm not quite sure how. it's just instinct I think and anyways you wouldn't need to know moon most humans can't use magic never mind magic on the scale of making portals through the multiverse." I explained. 

"...most humans?" moon said with a smirk. I could only imagine the thoughts going through moons mind right now. how they probably think they have a strong chance of having magic like how in all the stories they read before the character that was reincarnated had some sort of buff or cheat. 

I could only sigh in defeat. 

"alright moon fine! I'll try teaching you magic but after we get settled ok?" I asked. I needed to get a job first so we wouldn't end up homeless. to the people of this au I and moon don't exist and that includes my collage and high school degrees so getting a job will be difficult. I didn't worry about it too much I could always mess with the code if things became too difficult with me no having a degree though tricky I can manage moon was worth it. I was prepared for this after all.

once we were in the city I looked for the nearest hotel. we had enough money from my previous job for me to be able to last here with moon for a while but it would eventually run out and I would need a job so I may as well start searching now. I told moon to bring me any news of job openings when they go out to get a feel for the city while I searched online. any would do I could adapt. 

I just hope my new home here with moon won't be disturbed like it was last time.
