since gidle came back with nxde a bit ago(yes im late, i didnt watch the mv until 2 days later)and i want to share my opinions on it.

it was ok. im sorry. the concept was so interesting, it was cartoony, marilyn monroe inspired and sexy and i was so excited. i was lowkey disappointed yallsters. there are some aspects i enjoyed and i will list them along with the parts i didnt like as much(mv opinions arent included, i thought the mv was lovely)

some good parts:

the outfits. they slayed that shit, the outfits were gorgeous and perfect for the concept.

shuhua. MAMA SERVEDDDDDDD HER HAIR HER VOICE SHE PUT HER HEART SOUL AND PUSSY INTO THAT SHIT

the vocals. vocals are never disappointing in gidle so i dont have any critiques.

the choreo at the beginning of the chorus. the killing part, if you will. the move mimicking a woman unzipping her clothes and revealing herself was rlly cool and i loved that shit.

the less good parts(in my opinion):

bcuz i just brought up the choreo, im
gonna bring it up here💀💀. the turning move at the second "yes im nude" i didnt fuck with, idk why, im not a dancer so i cant say much on it. the up and down move before shuhuas last line i also was like "why this tho, its not a bad move but i dont feel like it fits".

the lyrics. so i assume soyeon contributed to the lyrics(if im wrong correct me pls). it is totally fine to put english into the lyrics as long, emphasis right here, AS LONG as they MAKE SENSE and FIT the song. i've thought this about tomboy as well, and nxde's english lyrics kind of make sense grammatically but they dont blend in with the song. the standard for songs is for the lyrics to at least rhyme. im not saying none of the lyrics of nxde rhymed, but there were so many inconsistencies with rhyming and not rhyming that it sounds off(and not in the nice goofy jazz way), it isnt smooth and it sounds like random english words/sentences were thrown in there randomly or just to appeal to english speaking audiences. soyeons raps used to be so incredibly smooth and that would've matched wonderfully with the concept(i describe marilyn monroe as like silken) but i didnt rlly get that until her actual rap in the verse after the chorus.

line distribution. i dont have to say anything more.

im sorry, ik i kinda shitted on soyeon or whoever wrote nxde but it genuinely wasnt what it had been hyped up to be for me:/
anyway, i might tear down other songs i didnt rlly enjoy in the future:)
