The Wizard was carried back to his room and Nox and I were left to survey the crime scene. While Nox inspected the table, I went over to where y green witch disappeared and checked the wall for a secret passage or something. The ground creaked but before I could check it out, Mambi called lights out. I left it for the morning and went to bed. Nox waved goodnight as I went into my room. I laid down to sleep but found myself in the early hours of the morning staring at the ceiling, thinking about a certain witch that was green but supposedly died by water.

Could she be alive? How could she survive water?

I finally fell asleep just as the sunlight hit my eyes. I sat up, bleary eyed as I heard a knock a door sent me up and following the noise. Usually, I wouldn't mind the noise except I heard a familiar voice.
"It's me," a muffled voice said. I peeked out the door to find the covered witch and the Wizard standing at another door about a few feet away.
"What the...-" She and the Wizard went inside the room and I followed close behind. The Wizard closed the door and locked it, covered the window, a lit a small candle. The room was empty except for a dirty, moldy chair in the middle of the room and a few barrels. I hid behind some of those and was surprised no one saw.
"Precautions. No one else knows about her, not even Glinda." I tilted my head in confusion as they stopped and heard a patterned knock at the door . The covered witch opened the door slightly and peeked out, then opened the door all the way as a woman with her head covered in a cloth sack and Mambi entered.
'Mambi?!"
"Shhh!" She hushed the woman, who was squirming, and placed the cloth headed woman on the chair. The covered woman waved Mambi and the Wizard out and closed and locked the door. She didn't see me as she uncovered the woman. It was Glinda, perma-smile cleaned off. She looked solemn, like she just saw her parents killed. The veiled woman yanked her head up to look into her eyes.
"Do you know who I am?" Glinda shakily shook her head, tears spilling out.
"Wow, you don't even recognize my voice. Even after all those years at Shiz," Glinda looked at her and whispered a little loudly, "Nessarose?" The veiled woman shook her head, stepped back, and started to undo her coverings. She shook her head and long black hair tumbled out of her hat, her pointy hat. She slipped off her gloves and wiped off the black smudging around her eyes, or that's what I think it is. She took a napkin and smeared around eyes and when she stopped, the napkin was black like soot. Glinda's eyes went from solemn and hopeless to alive and excitement. She still had a frown but it wasn't of despair. She stood up to the woman, who I couldn't see very well, and a smile appeared.
"I thought she killed you!"
"And, that's why you started to work for her?" Glinda's smile falter and her head shifted to the ground again.
"I didn't have a choice. Where's Fiyero?" The covered woman shrugged and that's when I saw her hands.

Green like my shirt. I gasped as Glinda looked back up.
"Exactly what I thought. She's taken him captive and placed a spell on him. Two years ago, another young woman came here and destroyed Biq."
"Boq. His name is- well, was Boq. You never liked him, did you?"
"Elphie, hush!" My breathing hitched and I froze as that name, Elphie... Where had I heard it before? I listened on and heard more.
"Well, they also have the Lion. You know, the one from the day they kicked Doctor Dillimond out? You and Fiyero saved it?" The witch nodded.
"Well, magic has made him from cowardly, which he blamed you for, to dangerous! He takes people's souls! Innocent people!"
"What about the others, Madame Morrible and the Wizard?"
"I found out something... About the Wizard that pertains to you. But, it can wait. Morrible changed her name after your death and after I jailed her. I found out she goes by... Oh dear, I've forgotten!"
"It's okay. You said something about Fiyero?" Glinda nodded and continued.
"He's the scarecrow!" I bit my lip from yelling out. "Dorothy has him under this spell that makes him think that Dorothy is you! Apparently he's okay if you murder millions."
"No, it's the spell. For all he knows, it me and him back at Shiz. Which never even happened!!!" The witch started to mumble to herself when Glinda interrupted her.
"Umm... Not to be a downer, but the girl who killed Bi-Boq?" The with nodded.
"Her name is Amy Gumm. She lived on the same farm as Dorothy but in a different lifestyle. Instead of having a life but wanting more, she had a horrible life and wanted to leave. Maybe there is a connection. Each girl wants to leave Kansas, and comes here. Maybe, and stop me if I'm wrong-"
"You're wrong," Glinda grimaced at her and smiled again.
"Maybe their stories are what tell each role and how they react in this place, which options they will choose!" The witch shook her head and sighed, "You know, I need to wipe your memory after this."
"Oh. Will I be put back at the palace?"
"No. I'll leave you here. You haven't seen any of the face here before except for the Wizard's, and he won't trigger anything," the witch paused and sighed, sitting in front of Glinda. Glinda sighed and stroked the witches cheek. "It's okay, Elphie. If anything, I'll command it." Glinda stood up and the witch also stood up. "Elphaba Thropp," I smacked my hand over my mouth to keep from screaming. "I command thee to erase my memory!" Elphaba held her hand against Glinda's head as she recited an incantation.

"... Oblitus ... oblitus iam nunc me lateat! (Forget this now... Forget that now... Forget me not!)" a small blast of light came from either Elphaba's hand or Glinda's head. Either way, Glinda slumped into Elphaba's arms, unconscious and breathing calmly. Elphaba snapped her fingers and in a puff a smoke, they were gone. I checked to make sure no one was watching and ran to my room like my life depended, which it probably did. I slammed my door and laid down back in bed just as the moon overhead changed to the sun. I held my blanket and pillow close as I fell asleep fast.

I finally woke up to see Nix in my doorway with look like if was my first day coming here two years ago. I got dressed and followed him. We stepped into the healing pool room as Glinda was being pulled out, her dress somehow still on her body but soaking wet like her body. No scars had appeared on her body but they may had been healed in the pool, so I didn't expect to see any gashes in her dress. There was a slash or two on the right sleeve and the stomach and chest areas were nearly torn away from her body. I was really surprised to not see her dress turn to dust when Glamora held her close, sobbing. Glinda woke up and gasped, "G-Glamora? Wha... How the-"
"No time, we need to get you resting. But first, who kidnapped you and brought you here?"
Glinda shook her head and held it with her hand, pain gracing her face.
"All I remember is... Is seeing Elphie. She looked so sad..." Tears started to stream down her face and her hiccups echoed the halls. Some of the students, including Madison and Chris, came rushing to us. Madison held her stomach went she saw the blood marks on Glinda's sky blue sparkling dress.

I help Glamora get Glinda one of the nicer rooms and laid her down. Glamora sat next to me as I sighed, knowing what- no, WHO probably did this to her. I got up and left Glamora, who now sobbed into her sisters nightgown.

'Why would Elphaba, the Wicked Witch of the West, know Glinda? I mean, they knew each other in the stories and movies, but they seemed... Closer..."

At that moment, I collided with the Wizard as he was reading. He caught me before I fell and said, "Now, we wouldn't want to see something bad, now would we?" He slipped the book into my shirt and walked away. I slipped into my room, making sure no one was in and started to read.

About an hour later, I hear a familiar voice. "Why are you reading Wicked? Did you not see the musical?" I slammed the book closed and quickly put Madison in a hold with a knife secretly held in my sleeve. She gasped as I stepped back and sheathed the knife back in my sleeve.
"Well, you didn't have to do that. Why are you reading that book?"
"... Something happened last night and I... Saw Glinda here... With..."
Madison held up her hand to stop me.
"Elphaba Thropp. Yeah, I'm a nerd on all things Oz, so sue me. I can explain her story. But," she sat down on my bed and gestured to the door. I closed it and locked it at her command, pulled up a chair, and sat down, ready for the truth.
