Chapter 3

The storm...

Mommy was about 10 weeks along when she started to bleed and mommy was so afraid when she saw blood. Daddy had to rush home from work.

Being pregnant and seeing blood in your underwear was my biggest fear and when it happened we didn't know what to do or expect.

Mommy was rushed to the day hospital emergency, We waited and they took tests after tests and were eventually sent to the trauma unit I cried and prayed that you were safe, but daddy couldn't enter the trauma unit with me so I had to go alone.

When the doctor took my vitals and we were sent into a small room The doctor proceeded to checked my cervix and confirmed I was 1cm dilated already which was threatening to you I asked the doctor to do an untrasound just to make sure you were okay. I saw you for the first time and I instantly loved you more than myself when the male nurse who came in to do the ultrasound he said he was struggling to find your heartbeat and I already knew something was wrong and I was so terrified.

The doctors said I was having something called a threatened miscarriage which means that there is an 80% change you will survive that gave me so much hope, I was then sent home there was no prevention they just said elevate your legs and rest and if the bleeding worsens then go to the emergency room immediately and if it remained the same I should report to the emergency room on Monday the 26th September 2022 just for a general check up.

I would've never guessed what was about to come next...
