"That's Lee Felix's son?" 

"Yeah"

"Chan, do you know what exactly you're telling me? Do you know the magnitude of this?"

"Yes, Han, I know! That's why I'm asking for your help" Chan exhaled "I would never play with something serious as this" 

Han looked back and forth between Chan and the little boy who was sitting on the floor drawing.

"His name's Mason, what he told me was that he and his father came up with a plan to escape from where they were being held, but something unexpected happened and Felix just managed to get Mason to escape. In other words, Felix's still stuck in a place that's sure to be horrible with an even more horrible man and the police don't want to help" 

"Chan, Felix's alive, it's... Oh my god, it's just so... I don't know... Difficult to believe, I thought, no, actually, everyone's thinking he's dead or has just run away"  The blonde sat down on the sofa, but suddenly got up "We have to tell everyone, if possible even the press, that way it will be easier to-"

"No" 

"Why not?"  

"If we tell everyone that Felix is alive and that we're looking for him, it will literally get through to everyone, including whoever kidnapped him. That way, the guy will probably find a way to escape and take Felix with him" Chan calmly explained the reason for his choice, because he had also thought about doing it that way "Mason is trying hard to remember as much as possible where he ran from, every day he tries to draw the things he saw, little by little maybe we'll get somewhere"

"Yes, you're right, I'm sorry"

"No, it's okay, I understand, our hopes quickly go up there, but it is not that easy" 

Jisung let out a faint smile.

"Felix wasn't even our friend, just a colleague, a person we saw every day, but when he disappeared it felt like a hole had popped up and the university didn't look as lit up as it used to be... Now that I know he's alive, I just want to help him as soon as possible, Chan"

This happened on the Saturday of the same week that Chan met Mason, since then, it's been three more weeks.

A certain unease, which could be called despair, was present in Chan's heart. After all, it's been a month since the discovery of Felix, a month with Mason, and a month without taking any step closer to saving the bright-eyed boy.

And what worried him the most was that the next month was full of work for him. As a very competent Psychiatrist, Bang Chan couldn't just abandon his role and, especially, his patients, he had commitments to fulfill, even if his heart was begging him to do nothing but save Lee Felix.

Another month without taking a single step.

"Channie" Mason rose from his chair and walked over to Chan with a notebook in hand "Did I get it right this time?"

What Chan had in his hands were Math, Korean and English exercises that he had created for Mason to practice, some of which the boy had gotten wrong, and had to redo them.
