Everything hurt.
That was the only thought plaguing Tommy's mind as he slowly came to. His back ached, and even though he was half asleep and very confused, he could tell he was sitting on something hard and solid, something that was definately not a bed.
As he slowly blinked open his eyes he started to take in the room around him. Concrete walls, on all four sides. Well, he guessed all four. He couldnt see behind him.
Why couldn't he see behind him?
He attempted to move his hands and stand up, but was met with resistance.
Oh. His hands were tied. Along with his feet. Had he been kidnapped? Why the fuck had-
And that was when he rembered. The fight with siren, winning, dragging him into pandoras vault kicking and screaming. Getting kidnapped by the syndicate on his way home.
Oh he was so fucked
Defeating siren had definately been his greatest victory, but he shouldve maybe thought it through a bit more. Because now he had pissed off the greatest criminal organisation in the world, and he was tied up in their basement, presumably about to be tortured.
It was fine though, right? The hero organisation had trained him for this. He knew how to escape, he'd done it before in training exercises.
He just had to dislocated his thumb and slip out of the handcuffs.
It wasnt that hard. Yeah. He could do this.
He slowly pulled his left hand towards his right, grabbing onto his thumb, taking a deep breath in and yanking as hard as he could.
He stifled a scream as white hot pain shot through his hand. It was fine. He could do this.
Slowly, he pulled his hand out of the cuffs.
As soon as his hands were free, he relocated his joint (finding it to be a lot less painful) and carefully untied the rope around his ankles.
He stood up, assessing the room to make sure there wasnt any cameras. There weren't. Huh. The syndicate wasnt that smart after all.
He crept towards the door, reaching for the handle. A small noise of surprise left his lips as he found that it actually twisted.
Peaking out into the corridor, it seemed his suspicions were correct. He was in a basement.
He waited a few seconds, before running out the door towards the stairs.
Once he reached the top, he found there to be another door, which turned out to also be unlocked.
He opened it slowly, expecting to see the blade or angel standing on the other side waiting for him.
Instead he was met with what seemed to be a normal hallway. He could hear a tv playing nearby, and decided to follow the noise.
As he crept closer, he realised it was playing the news. They were talking about the capture of siren.
Unable to contain his curiosity, he stopped to watch from a distance.
The news reporter on the tv had an unreadable expression at they talked about the capture of siren, and the following disappearance of theseus.
The screen suddenly switched, now showing mayor shlatt stood outside of pandoras.
He was giving a speech. Tommy barely registered what he was saying. It was just the usual drunk bullshit that the people of their city were too used to.
Tommy had finally decided to stop being dumb and finally leave, before shlatt words stopped him dead in his tracks.
"-and because I think its important, I think I should do us all a favour and unmask the evil plaguing our town, dont you think?"
Before tommy could think, a man was being dragged onto the screen. He was barely recognisable, bruising colouring his skin and eyes dulled from the power dampener strapped to his wrist. But tommy could recognise that face anywhere.
It was wilburs.
Wilbur. The man who took tommy in when he had no on else, and the man that always listened when no one else did. the man that played tommy his songs and bought him hot chocolate, and carried him up to the guest room when he fell asleep on movie night.
The man who was siren.
A sob tore from his throat at the realisation. Because it couldnt be true. It couldnt. He felt himself slowly falling to the floor, tears streaming down his face like a waterfall. It felt like the world was collapsing around him.
He noticed footsteps coming towards him, people shouting. He felt strong arms pick him up from the floor and carry him back down to the basement. But he was too out of it too care.
It felt like he was dreaming. He wished this wasnt real, because it couldnt be.
Beacause how was wilbur, his brother, the same man that could kill someone with just his words?
It didn't make sense
Nothing made sense.
Tommy just wanted to go home.
He wanted wil.
