ONE

"Hey Eli."

Pierre Gasly greeted his best friend as he walked in to her apartment, since the girl had given him a spare key to the place a while back.

"Hey Gasoline." Eliana Friedmann wiggled her eyebrows at the arrival of the French man, since she had heard him coming in to her apartment, since he wasn't exactly quiet.

"What are you watching?"

Eliana smiled as her best friend jumped over the back of her sofa to sit beside her as she handed him the remote for the television.

"I am watching a TV show called The Witcher." Eliana smiled as her best friend moved towards her, allowing her to curl up in to his side like she always did.

She had first met her best friend, Pierre Gasly in Berlin when he was spending time exploring the country of Germany, before they ended up meeting again in Milan, which was where he lived, and immediately decided to become friends.

The reason why was because Pierre had seen the Friedmann woman face plant on the ground as she had tripped over a loose piece of the concrete slabs that they were walking on.

The group of girls that she was with had immediately carried on walking and left her, whereas Pierre had walked over to help her up, when he wasn't dying of laughter, of course.

He was the reason why she barely had any friends that were girls, since they had ditched her whereas he, despite not knowing who she was, had ran to help her.

She thought that having friends who were girls was much more problematic then having boys as her friends.

And she was right.

The only drama that she had since becoming friends with the Gasly man, was the whole debate that she had with his fellow Formula One drivers about how her favorite driver was treated by his team.

Which was Daniel Ricciardo and Mclaren, of course.

Daniel had always been her best and favorite driver, ever since she had first gotten in to Formula One, since she always found him such a nice human being with a perfect smile and personality.

She knew that if she would ever meet him, that she would die immediately, because of how much she loved him.

It didn't matter if Pierre was also a Formula One driver, he was never going to be her favorite.

Only Daniel.

She knew exactly what it was like to lose a smile and happiness that was just naturally built in to who they were, and she could see the same happening to her favorite driver and it broke her heart.

Pierre himself knew that his best friend was pretty much in love with his Australian friend, which made it a lot worse since they were both well aware that Daniel Ricciardo did not have a seat for the 2023 season.

Since he had been replaced at Mclaren by another Australian, known as Oscar Piastri.

Eliana hated the boy who was the replacement for her favorite driver, since she felt like he should have gone to where a seat was open for him, instead of stealing that of Ricciardo's, however her heart ached for the man who had lost his seat, since she knew how talented he was as a driver.

Ricciardo had never really had a seat and a car where he could show his true potential and she knew that, and she vowed to get him a seat back on the grid, even if it was the last thing that she did.

Even if it took until he was in his eighties, she was getting him that seat.

She would make sure that he would rightly so become a World Champion.

"Hey Ana."

Charles Leclerc and George Russell smiled as they approached the woman, who was the best friend of their friend, Pierre.

The Friedmann girl smiled at the two of them as she held a latte in one of her hands, whilst using the other to move some of her hair out of her face since the wind had blown strands of her long brown hair in to her eyes.

"Hey George, hi Charlie."

Charles Leclerc smiled at the girl as she used a nickname used by his closest of friends. Whilst he didn't consider her his closest of friends, he still allowed her to call him by the nickname since he considered her a very good friend.

George Russell gave the girl a smile as he wrapped his arm around her shoulders to give her a brief side hug, since he knew that she wasn't overly a fan of hugging.

"How's our favorite girl?" George stared down at the woman as he nudged her slightly, seeing her face light up in to a soft smile that they were barely able to see lately.

"Missing Daniel on the grid." Eliana admitted sheepishly as she noticed the look that the two boys shared before they both released deep sighs.

"He's a reserve driver for Red Bull, so technically he's still there." Charles gave the woman a look of sympathy, since he knew how much she loved his friend.

"Technically.' He's not driving every race, so he's not there, which he should be." Eliana huffed in annoyance.

"You know that Formula One is cut throat, Ana. Not everybody can keep their seats." George placed his hand on to one of her shoulders to squeeze it gently in reassurance.

"Yeah but Esteban came back, Fernando came back, Alex came back, Kevin came back. But Daniel won't because every team has their drivers set for years to come and its not fair. He's literally one of the most skilled and talented drivers to ever race in Formula One and he's not even racing!"

Charles found himself walking up to the woman as he pulled her against his chest, knowing that she was a super fan of the Ricciardo man, but also that she could relate to his struggles herself.

"If I clear it with Pierre, how would you like to come with us to the paddock so that you can meet Daniel?" Charles smiled softly at the woman, seeing her slowly nod her head up and down.

"Then I can replace him with Daniel as my best friend." Eliana grinned happily as the two drivers laughed at her antics, knowing very well that whilst she was utterly obsessed with the ex Mclaren driver, that she would never trade him for Pierre.

She loved the French man too much.

"Which Latte is that?" George moved his head slightly to nod towards the latte that was in her hand, since he was a fan of Latte's himself.

"Just a nice one." The Friedmann woman winked playfully at the Russell boy, using the phrase that he used multiple times when ordering one to mock him.

"You're quite annoying, do you know that?" George teased the woman, since the two of them always liked to mock one another.

"And you're quite an idiot, do you know that?" The woman repeated his own words back to him, changing them ever so slightly to fit him.

"And you're both childish." Charles released a laugh at the two of them, enciting very dramatic gasps from the two of them, causing their gazes to snap towards each other as they were both prepared to team up and mock him together.

"And you're French!"

"I'm Monégasque!"
