The Mysterious Grey Ninja

The bell rang out throughout the school signaling the beginning of class. "Social studies is dumb," Avel whined as they filed into class.

Lloyd almost stopped breathing as (y/n) took the seat next to him. He managed to grab a glance of her timetable. It was as if she took almost every single class the school offered. "Whoa you are super busy," Lloyd said in awe.

"That doesn't even include student council meetings and after school activities nor the club interventions," she sighed as she set her books out on the desk. (y/n) hissed as a scrunched-up paper ball was thrown at the back of her head. Avel had his feet up on the table with a cocky grin.

"You don't get along with your brother," Lloyd pointed out.

"That self-absorbed, egotistical, obnoxious, blow hard, of course I don't get along with him," she scoffed, "I'm surprised you do."

"I don't have too many friends in this school, you know, being the son of Lord Garmadon and what not," Lloyd sighed.

"Trust me Lloyd, you're not the only person with family drama issues," (y/n) mumbled as their social studies teacher walked in and began drawing the subject outline on the black board. Her eyes widened as a breeze blew through the window, it carried a warning as well as the echoing sounds of terrified screams. (y/n) raised her hand, "excuse me, may I please be excused, I apologize, I have a student council matter to attend to," (y/n) reasoned. The teacher simply nodded, (y/n) gathered her things and left.

"I wish I could leave this class without being questioned," Kai whined. Lloyd rolled his eyes as he glanced at Avel. Now that he thought about it, he noticed the differences in the two. Avel mentions that (y/n) was the dud of the family, Lloyd wondered how that could be true when she always won every single away and opportunity the school presented.

"This term we'll be studying the evolution of Ninjago society, how we've gone from a monarchy to a democracy, including the various families that have made that possible and still have influence today," the teacher said as she began to draw a flow chart on the wall. "7 families were appointed as the royal guard of the royal jade family, only one name has withstood the erosion of time and history, Windsor-" the teacher was cut off as screams filled the classroom as a huge crashed sent the school into chaos, "uh oh, it's Garmadon!" the teacher gasped.

"Thanks Lloyd!" everyone blamed.

"You know what to do, duck and cover," the teacher instructed.

At the same time Lloyd and his friends asked to use the bathroom. The group ran down the hall to their lockers and stepped inside, none of them feared the drop into their secret base.

"Ninja team, shout out your call signals," Lloyd ordered as he jumped into his mech, setting up the controls.

"Fire mech!"

"Water mech!

"Ice mech!"

"Lightning mech, ready!"

"Earth mech!"

"Hey, I wonder is that grey ninja will show up again," Nya wondered.

"And steal our thunder, I hope not," Kai quipped.

With a roar their engines came to life, they took to the skies and the streets. "Garmadon's forces spotted!" LLoyd informed as they flew towards the battle. Lloyd watched as a group of his army chased down bystanders. Lloyd was preparing to die down, but he watched as a blur of grey leaped into the battle and with a gust of wind blew them away from the people. "Grey ninja spotted," Lloyd said with a sigh.

"The grey ninja makes us look bad, taking down Garmadon's forces without a mech and he's doing it without breaking a sweat," Cole complained

"Make makes you think the grey ninja, is he?" Nya scoffed.
