Rebecca's POV

The sound of my heels on the black marble floor announced my arrival as I walked back to my building

"fàilte air ais do mhòrachd"
(Translation :- Welcome back your majesty) one of the man who worked for me greeted as the others bow their heads , I held back a smirk feeling proud of the name I have created for myself and the power I have gained.

Ignoring everyone I walked straight to the room infront of me.
My break ended sooner thn I expected. The day after my birthday I got a call from Florence telling me that one of my most trusted person turned out to be a traitor I deal with traitors myself to let everyone know the consequences of betraying me.

I closed the door behind me and and clicked my toung in disappointment as I looked at the man tied up infront of me
"Kory Thompson...what a shame" I took a step towards him and he lifted up his head fear evident in his eyes

"mam ... I- " I cut him off by lifting up my hand "Do you remember what I always say kory? , 'Betrayal has no excuse' "
he opened his mouth to speak but closed it again taking shaky breaths

"I trusted you enough to let you to be in command in my absence and what surprise do I get in return?" I fake sighed "kill me already" he lowered his head "of course I will kory , be patient" I put on the black gloved that were nearly placed on a table in the corner and picked up a knife I slowly admired it before I pierced his hand with it making him scream in pain as tears rolled down his eyes without giving him much time I did the same with his other hand.
I signalled a guard towards me and ordered her to burn his body but not kill him ,
I stepped back enjoying the show as he kept screaming and begging "untie him and gather everyone outside especially the new ones" both the guards nodded and went outside leaving the bastard alone with me ,
I pulled his head up by holding a tight grip on his hair and dragged him outside to give everyone a nice view of his perfectly grinning face (note the sarcasm).
"Look at him" I said authority evident in my voice as everyone gulped at the sight infront of them
"Those who are new , Stand in the front" they shared a glance before making their way to the front
I put my heel on his hand making him yell "He worked for me for 2 years I put my trust in him , took care of his families expenses and look at him. What did he do? Betray me!" I said through gritted teeth feeling angry about kory passing the information to my enemies so they could kill me , he was the one because of whom I had to deal with a assassin on the first day of my break.

"What's the result of betrayal?!" I asked looking at each one of them.
"Death. Your majesty" one of the new boys spoke as I locked my eyes with his , he broke the stare too quickly and I took my gun out of my holster
"Let this be am example to all of you. This is the price you pay for betraying me or it can be even worse"
Everyone took a deep breath as I shot him in the head and life left his eyes.
"Has everyone learnt their lesson?" I eyed up all of them
"Yes Mam" they said all together.
I dismissed all of them before signalling the guards to clean up the mess and went to the bathroom attached to my office to take a shower.

Cold water went down my head and I leaned against the wall with eyes closed , my mind went back to a particular amber eyed sunshine mess of a boy who is too stubborn to leave my thoughts , Elliana told me that she saw Alex holding back tears as he rushed out of the hotel but I didn't had time to worry about it as I had to urgently come back here to deal with kory , I will not lie he did intrigued me but I dont have time for my feelings and he is still a kid I wouldn't drag him into my mess of a life.

I sighed putting on the spare clothes I always keep in my office , it was a grey button up and matching grey jeans with a black belt with the letter "T" (for Thornton) in shining gold in the centre of it and 4 inche black heels I was wearing earlier , taking my hand through my hair I sat on my chair and looked through the file of data of everything that happened in my absence.
