Hunter and I make our way to the door that leads out to the parking lot for a second time. This time is different though, I have tear stained eyes and a suspended leave. Its just fan-freaking-tastic! The rush of the autumn air makes my tears feel freezing against my hot cheeks. "Are going to follow me Brooklyn, or do I have to drag you out of there myself?" said Hunter. I look up to see that I must have stopped moving while he continued to walk to his car. "I'm coming," I manage to say meekly. His car is parked only a few spots away from the door. Hunter already has the running and ready to go by the time I get to the passenger door. I get in and we make our way to the street. Silence. "I didn't lose it, I swear. You believe me right?" I say, breaking intense silence between us.
"Brooklyn, it doesn't matter if I believe you or not. It only matters if the board does and right now they probably wouldn't. Though you have helped complete a lot of missions people are constantly getting hurt that shouldn't be, you've royally screwed up some missions and not to even mention but three cars in two months; this doesn't look good for you."
"Ok two of the cars weren't my fault and you know it. Yeah I might have ran over someone in the first one and that messed up the first one-"
"He was on a motorcycle! You ran over a person and a motorcycle, Brooklyn!"
"Yeah that may be true but I didn't plant the bomb in the second or miss place the last one. You have to believe me!" Tears started to stream down my face again. We sat in silence again until we got to my house. We finally pull into the drive way, I go to open the door but hunter grabs my hand. "I believe you Brooklyn I do, but if you make it out of this with your job still you'll have to be more careful," Hunter eyes look tired and a little sad. "I know," I say as I turn to walk to my door.
