Kylee and I hop into my car. I was stuck driving because it was my problem and my car. Geez, doesn't Kylee know I'm under a lot of emotional stress. I mean not really but a little sympathy doesn't hurt anyone. After driving for a couple of minutes we reached a for in the road so I put on my right blinker. "Why are you going that way?" Kylee said.
"Because that's the fastest way to go," I told her matter-o-factly.
"No it's not ."
"Yes it is, Kylee."
"Brooklyn, just go left"
"Oops, to late," I said giving her a devilish smile as I went to the right. Kylee turned up the radio to show that she didn't want to talk to me any more.
******
"I don't understand why your so upset," I told Kylee as we walked up to the office door.
"You should've went left." I stood there dumbfounded is she really angry over what turn I took.
"It's not that big of deal, Kylee."
"Yes it is."
"Not its not."
"Yes it-"
"Kylee, Brooklyn what's the fight about today," said Hunter Green, our boss.
"Hey boss," we both replied sheepishly. Hunter was only a couple of years older than us. He had a tall, tanned, and muscular frame which made him seem very intimidating. Any one who knew him knew he was really just a teddy bear in a pit bull's body.
"Oh you know streets and stuff," Kylee said, "Actually Brooklyn here has something she needs to talk to you about." Kylee nudged me forward with her elbow.
"What is it?" Hunter said with a smile.
"Don't be mad, but you know how I went on that job. Well, someone had gotten to him first and we got into it. I had knocked him out and he's been in my trunk for like nine hours." I immediately looked at the ground.
"Let's go get him then," with that Hunter walked out into the parking lot towards my car. Uh oh.
