Chapter 08
Photograph : Blueberry SkyKim Rok Soo and Cale Henituse stand over the mall. Questionable bags in their hands as they stared down the city over through the highest level of the mall with dotted eyes. It was a mistake to ever unknowingly step foot here. And now, they did an unwanted mistake of going out on a date—hang out.
Cale pursed his lips and stared at the other from his peripheral vision. Even though he stands mature and...heavy expression-based, he still looks so youthful and attractive. His eyes moved to the sky that faced the vast and faraway shoreline, he still has that scar on his neck, yet it's barely visible now: "Some things don't change."
He sees Kim Rok Soo blink, and then turn his head to his direction. With a simple word, he asks: "What was it?"
The redhead hums and shook his head, his fingers stretched as his bones cracked. "It's nothing. I misspoke."
The twenty-five year-old felt a bit reluctant but shove it off, "..."
"Okay."
"?" Cale cluelessly stared at the other. Kim Rok Soo titled his head to the side with same look. His lips pulled into a thin line as his eyes seemingly glimmer from curiosity. He really looks so pretty that he just wants to lean in-
Wait-.
"!" Cale slightly flushes and looked away, hoping that the red on his pale face wasn't so evident. His heart should stop beating so loudly, for Dragon's sake. Sigh. Loving someone is really hard and suffocating, it feels like being stuck in a carnival yet for some reason, you can't find the fun of it until you tried out a game that you like.
Brushing all of his thoughts, he calms himself down before looking towards the younger male. He should really just set his emotions aside from now on, nothing good will come out of it anyway. His emotional life had always been a disaster, he doesn't need to feel his world crack from meteorites again.
"Right-... Rokkue, if you don't mind, can i ask you something?" Cale says to the young man who just got off his phone.
Kim Rok Soo, for a moment, has a funny look on his face before responding: "Aren't you already? Ask away."
Cale suddenly wants to gobblesmack this handsome piece of specimen that is also his identity crisis suspect. With such a nonchalant exposure, the twenty-nine year old would've thought the younger man was being disrespectful. Easing his anger issues like how he eases his desire of dairy milk even when he's intolerant- ahem, the redhead brushes it off.
"What do you do for a living?" The photographer curiously asked, his rustic eyes flutter before adding on another. "I've been hearing lots of words from acquaintances of mine, your name is always on the line of Rowoon streets. Are you perhaps a model or an idol?"
Truth be told, as someone who has a massive crush and is supposed to know of what he does. Cale can't just bring himself to follow what a usual person do and stalk them.
Perhaps it's his conscience of consequences, or the part of being respectful to one's boundaries - but Cale being Cale just doesn't see the hype in it. Sure, he knows the personal things, habits and understandable behaviour. However, he is a complete loser when it comes to a person's base factors.
And probably because he does not want to end up in a cliche, he has seen too many things when he was still a raging hormonal teenager. It's better let those stay in fiction. It's where it belongs.
"Too troublesome if I were, I'd be giving myself a hard time." Kim Rok Soo responds, his features softened. Giving a youthful sensation as he closes his eyes. Cale wasn't getting mesmerised. Definitely not.
