Reyna
I kicked the rock in front of me around bored. Where was he? I have- I mean, we have been waiting here for more than ten minutes. Didn't the man have a watch? Of course he did, I remember his father gave him a pocket watch for a birthday. I though about it, I've never actually seen his father. I wonder what he looks like.
Sighing and going back to continuously kicking the rock around, I waited. I looked at the world around me. For all the years I've lived here, I never really noticed how very green and colourful everything is. The floor was green, the vegetation was green, the trees where covered in green moss. Everything was so bloody green. But it was wonderful here; the interior of Galicia is composed of relatively low mountains without sharp peaks. There are many rivers, most, though not all, running down relatively gentle slopes in narrow river valleys, though at times their courses become far more rugged as in the canyons of the Sil River, Galicia's second most important river after the Miño. Galicia has so many small rivers that it has been called the "land of the thousand rivers", I smiled, thinking about it. I frowned, that would be one of the good things about the marriage, I guess, that I'll never have to leave this place. It's my home everywhere else seems peculiar. I know this place back to front, north to south, east to west. I know they are more than 2800 plant species here; plant endemics are represented by 31 taxons, as in a taxonomic category, as a species or genus. Galicia has 262 inventoried species of vertebrates, including 12 species of freshwater fish, 15 amphibians, 24 reptiles, 152 birds and 59 mammals. The most found are rabbits, hares, wild boars, the European Wolf and roe deer, all of which are popular with hunters.
"Reyna!! What are you doing, child? Come back into the carriage, Ms. Silvan is arriving." About time, I though in annoyance. I watched my mother try and fit her overly volumed Byzantium (a dark purple) and Lavender dress back in the carriage. I smirked, why bother with the dress when her hair is bunned so high it's bending at it's own weight? We all had to dress our best, but I didn't really feel the mood of excitement as the others. But I did make a effort, I put on my Sangria (a rich maroon red) corseted black dress. Mother said since it was strapless I need to have a fetching necklace, I didn't quite know what she meant so I put on my sliver chain necklace with the heavy red-jeweled cross, hoping that it was right. I made sure my hair was neat and I had my make-up perfect. I even wore my favorite black lace fingerless gloves!
"I'll walk mother! It's just five minutes away!" I could see the stone house from here, I waved them off. The two carriages went off together. I started walking. I'd do anything to be late for this stupid meeting. To be honest, I'd rather face Vincent than his mother. She was a force to be reckoned with, to bad for her I don't back down easily. She was one of those annoying women who only cared for herself. And she is perfect in everyway, and since she is, so does everything about her and around her, she insults when she doesn't even know it.
She's Abilia Silvan, what can you do? The woman's a...well, another name for a female dog, and I don't mean the cute and cuddly ones.
I was about a quarter of the way there when something stopped me and blocked my passage. I stood still in fear, not knowing what to do. The wolf leaned down, threateningly. Its eyes were intensely focused on me, and in it's opened mouth its sharp teeth were bared. Its scraggly fur was shaded from dark grey to light. I never seen a wolf this close, but it was larger than I expected, much larger. In my vast panic I ran. I didn't even watch where I was going. I ran the wrong way to the house, but the wolf was chasing close behind me. Every sound of its paw landing on the ground made my heart jump wilder and my feet move faster. I felt my dress catch and tear on something; I was too scared to worry about it. I heard it move around me. It was going to bloke me off, I realized. I was right, it jumped in front of me. I looked around for help, but no one was in sight. I was in a graveyard, how bloody ironic. At lest they wouldn't have to move me far.
