chapter nineteen

Sasuke, lavender and Sakura were in the apartment when sarada walked in "mom, dad?" They looked at her then menma who was hugging lavender's leg "um, sarada was it?" Lavender asked and she nodded. "Is it alright if you look after menma for bit, I need to talk to your parents" lavender asked her and sarada looked at menma "u-um sure" she agreed and lavender looked to menma "menma, I want you to go with sarada if I'm sure, there is a training ground around here that you could use" lavender told him and his eyes lit up "let's go!" He grabbed sarada's hand and raced to find the training ground. "He's hyper" Sakura chuckled at the young boys hyperactive personality.

"Yes, but you said there was something you'd like to talk about" lavender mentioned what Sakura had asked earlier and she nodded. "Yes. I think sarada should be with you two" she announced making the two look at her "but, sakura, we can't do that to you. She's your daughter" lavender called out but the look in Sakura's eyes was a hint of sadness but much of reassurance. "I'll still see her, but she could learn more about the Uchiha and her sharingan and I don't have either of them. So I thought it was better for you both to raise her" Sakura told them "are you sure about this?" Sasuke asked and she nodded. "If you say so but if you change you're mind we'll listen" Sasuke told her and they went to find the pair who were at the training grounds.

Sarada was having fun with menma, both doged one another's kunai's and attacks while they both had their sharingan activated. Lavender smiled, she knew menma didn't have friends cause of him being kept secret but he was generally having fun with someone his age.

"Kids" Sakura called out and the two paused at the trio "aw, we were getting to the good moves" menma whined and sarada had a smile. "Actually you two can train for Abit longer but we need sarada to decide on something" Sasuke called out making sarada raise and eyebrow and pointed to herself "me?" She asked and they nodded. "What do I need to decided on?" She asked them "we want to know which parent you would like to live with" Sakura told her and her eyes widen "what do you mean?" She was generally shocked and confused right now "sarada, the reason is because of a decision that was to keep menma hidden and safe but now we had figured that it was the worst one and it had put him in danger" lavender explained to her.

"I was to be with your mother in order to keep menma hidden and secret but someone had found out about menma and we'll you know the rest after that" Sasuke explained "so... I have to choose?" She hesitated and looked between her parents and menma's mom. "Will I still see the other if I have to choose?" She asked and all three nodded. "It's your decision, we can't make it for you" lavender gave her a small smile, sarada thought about which parent to go with. She loved her mother but she wanted to know more about the Uchiha and the sharingan.

She made her choice "I... I choose dad" she was hesitant but Sakura had already guessed that she would choose sasuke to know more about her heritage. "It's almost like you knew" lavender pointed a finger at her pink haired friend "I knew she would want to learn more about her heritage, I already said I would still see her" Sakura shrugged with a smile.

"Can we go train again? She's more fun than a tree that doesn't move" menma announced and the others snorted a laugh at his bluntness and at what he said. "Yes, go on. I'll need to figure out where we are living now though" lavender announced and menma dragged sarada away and the two were already training.

"I have an idea" Sakura announced making the two raise an eyebrow at her, Sakura led them to an empty house that was unoccupied and led them inside, it was spacious and had four rooms. "Uh, is anyone living here?" Lavender asked walking from out of one of the rooms "nope! It's been empty for bit now" Sakura explained with a smile. Lavender sweatdropped "I don't know if I should bother to ask if you could help me go grab our stuff that has all but been packed" lavender announced and Sakura gave her a thumbs up. "I'll help you even set up the place" she smiled. "That means I'm in charge of watching the kids" sasuke said "oh, don't worry. Menma hasn't destroyed anything for a few years he'll be fine and I can tell sarada is responsible" lavender gave him a cheeky grin while he sweatdropped at her.

Lavender grabbed Sakura's hand "we'll be back, tell Naruto we'll be gone to grab some things!" Lavender's voice rang out through the empty house as she and Sakura left to the uzamaki-uchiha temporary home.

"Why is it here?" Sakura asked as she looked at the house "we never stayed anywhere longer than four months when me and Sasuke split for menma's safety" lavender did a jutsu and a infinity pocket appeared on a scroll. "Did you only ask me to come to make sure nothing happens?" Sakura placed hands on her hips "nah, well yes for that and because I missed you and the others" lavender told her and put the box on the scroll as it disappeared in the pocket. With everything inside the jutsu pocket, Lavender rolled it up and put it in her pouch then left with her friend back to konoha.
