Fates P.O.V
After getting changed into my uniform, I met April out in the corridor. I noticed that she had a couple of admirers at the stairs waiting for her to walk past. Again.
April was two years older than me so she dropped me off in the grade 8 classrooms before she went to her own. Saves the embarrassment of having her little sister in her class. Giving me a hug and a wave she walked away with her swarm of admirers following her, like she was their queen bee.
When I went to my first class which was math with Mrs Lloyd, I saw that there was a notice on the board that Mrs Lloyd was unwell and there would be a substitute teacher in for today.
Curious, I took my spot at a desk in the back of the classroom and waited for the teacher to walk in.
After five minutes, and a couple of Eminem songs on my Ipod, he walked in.
Jake Lloyd. My big sisters boyfriend. Shit.
He had a tight t shirt and jeans on. Not surprisingly, all black. His hair was in its usual unruly way and his grey eyes stared at the class intensely.
Shit, he was gorgeous.
After an hour and fourty minutes of dividing fractions, my head was aching and my playlist had finished.
The bell went and the class, who was unusually quiet, went alive with noise."Maximum, can you stay back after class please?" Jake said in his melodic drawl.
Shit.
After the class had filed out of the class, it seemed very empty. I felt awkward standing alone with Jake.
"Is there something you want Mr Lloyd?" I asked, wanting to get put of the class as fast as I could.
"As I'm sure, you know about your sister and me?" He said getting straight to the point as usual.
"True." I said, rolling my eyes. But there was something in his voice that I couldn't get.
It scared me.
"I hope you aren't planning on hurting her Mr Lloyd." I said panicking. "She is really happy right now."
His smile was charming but disturbing.
"There won't be no broken hearts if you don't tell." He drawled.
"I'm lost." I said.
All of a sudden he grabbed at me and pushed his lips to mine. For a moment I kissed back. Then panic flooded in and I pushed him away.
His eyes were confused as I ran out of the classroom. Obviously not used to being pushed away. I couldn't have him do this to April. Especially not with me. Jake is five years older than me. Three years older than April. It's wrong and it could have him booted in jail and me and my sister on the streets.
