Raya's POV

I woke up at my parents place this morning, last night i wasn't okay. I have to man up and face my problems which i clearly can't identify. I hate this, every bit of it. I wish killing a bad guy would change the world, make this place a better place. But it seems I've been waisting my time, and saving lives. At least there's that.

I lifted my head from my drenched pillow and went to the bathroom and took a long bath. I got out after that and put on  leather pants and jacket with a light grey t shirt that had one side longer than the other. I then wore my black half boot hills. I then tied my hair on a low ponytail.

I went out and took my black Fortuner to work. You know I realize now that I actually have no job. I'm just pretending to work coz i literally get nothing out of this. I mean I let other people use the building for business but my floor is literally useless. I just sit and wait for someone to do something wrong then i go stop them.

I reached work and parked my car and headed towards the entrance. I found a young boy there. Dark hair, avarage height, green eyes, weirdly shaped brows. All in all, he was cute. As soon as he saw me he turned kinda serious and formal. I stopped looking at him and walked passed him and he was surprised by that. He walked behind me and cleared his throat. "Excuse me ma'am." He said and i continued walking totally ignoring him. I'm not stopping for no kid.

I reached my office and moments later this boy entered. He walked in and sat in front of my desk. "Morning ma'am. I am Phanuel, Melaine said you had a job for me." He said and I felt a laughter coming up. This kid thinks he can work for me? The Kint.

"What job might that be?" I asked
He leaned forward trying to be intimidating.

"Any job, anything Melaine did for you. I want in on your team or whatever you call it." He said determined on whatever he was saying. I chuckled and looked at him to see that he is serious.

"And how old might you be?" I asked curiously, folding my arms and crossing my legs.

"Sixteen" he said and i literally laughed.

"So you think you, a sixteen year old can work, like literally work?" I said laughing and teasing him.

"Yes ma'am. Melanie told me that she also started working for you at a young age and from where i have been I can handle the job she left." He said. You know what? I like this kid, I like his attitude.

"You're in, welcome to the empire little one" I said stretching my hand out and he grabbed it with disbelief that he actually got the job.

In that fun, an uninvited guest entered. "Miss Manchester." He said and my smile dropped and I pulled my hand away from the young lad's hand totally annoyed.

"What displeasure do i owe such a visit?" I said standing up from my seat.

"Your former assistant begged me to drop by and change your godly acts." He said coming closer. "I'm here to recruit you, let's stop real crime and stop killing people shall we." He said totally ignoring the young boy in front of him.

"That's just boring don't you think? I prefer permanent stops. Jail will help no one, you just groom criminals there." I said looking in his eyes and he doing the same. "Liam, just mind your own business." I said trying to look away but i couldn't.

"Ok, so tell me about the bodies we found this morning from downtown." He said. Shit! I totally forgot about that.

" I was attacked at night, I was saving myself. It was mere self defense." I said and he moved closer. My heart started beating abnormally, shit! Do I fear this cop?

" You need help Kint, feel free to call me anytime coz you'll regret these godly acts of yours." He then looked away and my heart felt a bit ok. He looked at the young boy and back at me again. Damn! That feeling again. "And please leave this kid out of your dirty deeds." He said.

"You're saying that like I'm a prostitute or something" i said with a smirk. "Don't worry yourself dear detective" I assured him.

He was then annoyed and then he left. I was then able to take in some air. Did i stop breathing for a moment there? Doesn't matter. I sat back on my throne and looked at the young boy with a grin. " Your first assignment is to get rid of the body in my house. Hopefully you still have Mel's number coz you're gonna need tips" I said and put my hands together looking at Phanuel's crazy expression.

Let the games begin.

Hello everyone, hope you tried making sense out of the wrongly spelt words. So sorry if i overdid it. I'm sure this was kinda the most boring chapter you've read but i promise I'll get better.
