song: hazel - cavetown

it's been days since you left home. the only sort of guidance was a piece of paper you weren't sure was accurate. the map was so old, but all the buildings seemed to be in the right places. just like he told you they were going to be.

you took a deep breath going over the plan.

your village was just attacked

thats all that was written in the back of your map. watching his old handwriting felt nostalgic. you wondered what he looked like now, or if he kept those colorful ingenious ideas he wrote on his journal all the time.

you were caught in your own mind that you didn't notice the stomps approaching you in the grass.

"hey!" you heard a voice yell at you.

the intimidating hey made you flinched. your head turned at the man walking angrily gripping his netherite sword. your first instinct was to hide the map inside your pocket.

you gulped hiding your hands behind yourself, your heart dropped seeing the flag on his chestplate seemed familiar to you in a way. light brown hair was sticking out of his helmet as he looked at you with terrifying dark eyes.

"sorry!" you yelped. it was the first that came out of your mouth, but you were stopped when the man pointed his sword at you. it felt like everything was going to be over but you squeezed your eyes shut and almost screamed. "i come in peace" you blurt out raising your hands, leaning your head back when the man steps closer to you with the sharp edge. you never knew men could be this violent. all you knew were male fairies, and him..

"what are you doing here—" the mans voice demanded an answer but then was cut off. you heard a soft slap on the back of his head that made him yell. another hey.

"she's a fairy sapnap you dingus what the hell do you think you're doing?" another mans voice spoke, with an accent you've never heard before. his voice sounded smoother and more delicate.

fairy's were very respected around mortals, they were always seemed as myths lately since so many were being killed or sold. fairy's were very careful taking care of themselves so it was rare for them to interact with mortals like them.

george was stunned by you, hes never seen nothing like you before. he always heard about fairy's in the bedtimes stories his mother used to tell him when he was younger, but he's never seen one in real life. he couldn't help but to stare at your beautiful wings and gorgeous features.

"open your eyes" sapnaps voice said with a dominant tone. "what are you doing here?" his eyes narrowed and his tone became sharper. he was scarier by the second.

you heard the other voice grunt in annoyance and bump sapnaps shoulder. "excuse this idiot" he said. "i'm george. what's your name?" george asked politely.

george leaned forward a little to make sure you were okay. when you opened your eyes you saw the man standing in front of you. as your eyes opened up slowly you saw his porcelain skin and shiny teeth staring at you. he looked at you curiously. he had darker hair and a weird looking mushroom hat covering it. he wore a long red cape with gold chains holding it and had a pin with a similar logo than the one sapnap had on his chestplate.

you wondered if george was some kind of king and sapnap was his bodyguard. it could make some sort of sense.

"my name is y/n" you said bringing your hands down to your sides. "my village was just attacked and i am seeking for shelter" you lied. they noticed your stuffed bag so they were convinced your things have been packed.

george gasped "thats horrible! isn't it sapnap?" george turned to look back at sapnap who had his arms crossed on top of his chest. his sword was in place on his back. he looked uninterested in your, but stayed to take care of george. "i'm so sorry that happened" george placed his hands on your shoulders for support. they were cold but his face looked warm and safe to you. "is there anything we could do to help?" he asked as if he was able to pull out an army out of nowhere to help your fictional fake town.

"they.. they're gone" you faked a sob and covered your face with your palms.

sapnap huffs but george doesn't care. "you need a hug?" george asked letting his hands fall off you.

you nodded faking your tears and letting this stranger embrace you in a hug. you felt his hand rub circles around your hand without getting in the way of your wings. you also heard sapnaps voice said 'she's a stranger what if she's dangerous' and george shushing this idea away.

george introduced you to kinoko kingdom. you were just about 10 minutes away from getting there. as george walked you around the place he told you the story of how everything came together. it was breathtaking, all the builds and decorations couldn't compare to your small village.

george talked so passionately about the place with an arm around you while sapnap followed with a frown on his face. you could tell how unhappy he was with your presence. every time you turned your head to look at him, it look as if he was about to strangle you.

even though there were barely people around george told you there were many people about to join their nation called kinoko kingdom. you thought the name was really unique.

you were in the center pond of the kingdom until were all interrupted by him..

"who is this?" you heard his voice. after so many years, you heard his voice once again.

you felt scared to look at him. look at those yellow eyes and unusual goggles on his forehead. there wasn't a day where you didn't think about seeing him again, but now that it was happening you were petrified.

your eyes slowly flicked upwards to look at the voice.

it took you a second to recognize him. he was just like you remembered.

"karl" you said foolishly. "karl jacobs.." you unintentionally tilted your head to the side seeing the surprised expression on his face. you were shocked to see the man you loved so long ago standing in front of you. he was never lying.

the two boys looked back at you. they had no idea of what was going on.

"what?" karls eyes narrowed looking over at george. "who is this?" he asked. at that same moment karl felt a sharp pain on the side of his temple, but he ignored it.

"oh" you interrupted george. "you're not karl jacobs i'm sorry" you snapped out of this trance he put you in. this wasn't the plan you remembered.

"i am Karl Jacobs but who are you?" he asked.
