Chapter 6

*Valkyrie POV*
I woke up the next morning, depressed and lonely. I stared out the small window of skuls room, looking at the the sunrise. I stared down at my hands not noticing the time going by. When I looked up at the clock, I realised I'd been staring at my hands for 36m. I sighed, and got up. As I turned around, I jumped in surprise at skul sitting in a chair. He was slouched in the chair and it looked like he was sleeping. He couldn't sleep could he??. I softly padded over to skulduggery and kneeled in front of him."Skul?.." I whispered softly. He jumped in surprise. "Steph! Are you ok?" He asked frantically."Were you sleeping?" I questioned. He just laughed. "I call it meditating but I guess so". "Oh! I'm so sorry skul!! I thought you were awake! I didn't me-" He put a hand up to stop me. "I know, it's ok. I don't blame you it must have been pretty weird" I smiled and shrugged. "Come on! Let's go shopping!" He said enthusiastically. I frowned but nodded. He noticed and put a hand on my shoulder."It will be fun! Don't worry! A friend of mines also coming, she has good fashion taste so you won't just be wearing suits" he joked. I cracked a smile. He hopped up and walked out the door. Then poked his head back in. "Also were getting breakfast on the way,no complaining" he said sternly. I nodded and sighed. He walked away as I trudged through the hallway towards the stairs. Thinking skulduggery had already gone back to his bedroom I started singing. "Tell her a story, tell her the honest truth. You treat it better make sure to see it through.
Don't be just everything she wants, be everything she needs. When she says she loves you, Tell her you love her too

I froze when I heard clapping from behind me. I spun around to see skulduggery leaning casually against the wall, clapping. "You have a beautiful voice, Stephanie" he said in awe. I blushed and looked away. He walked past me, down the stairs but not before ruffling my hair." By the way, Tanith is here", he said. Tanith? Who's Tanith? She must be skuls friend. As if on cue, a knock sounded on the door, then a girl walked in , not waiting for a reply. "Hey skulduggery!!" She grinned. "Hello Tanith, I have a friend I'd like you to meet", he said politely. I paled. I'm never good with introductions. Skul walked up the stairs to where I was waiting. "Don't worry she's really nice, you'll get along well" he says softly. I nod and he slips his hand in mine. I blush, and look away. I have to admit, I have a big crush on him. Is it wrong to have a crush on a skeleton? I don't think so. We walked down the stairs, hand in hand towards Tanith. When she saw me her eyes softened and she smiled, softly. "Hello" I said quietly. She smiles and pulls me in for a hug. I was in shock but I eventually hugged her back. "I'm Tanith, what's your name?" She asks. "Stephanie Edgley" I reply. She smiles. "That's a pretty name, for a pretty girl!" I blush and look down. Tanith was a pretty girl. She had long luscious waves of golden hair and a very muscly build. She has kind blue eyes and a beautiful, soft face. She wore all brown leather and she had a sword in a sheath by her side. "Well, what pleasure do I owe today skul?" She grins. He laughs and she looks shocked. Why does everyone looked shocked whenever he laughs? "We are going shopping, and since your a girl, we need your help" he says simply . She gave a quizzical look. "Why don't you just get ghastly to make the clothes?" She questions. "Ghastly only makes armoured clothes really, and she hasn't been able to do magic yet." A look of worry flashed across tanith a face bit was quickly hidden. "Ah, I see the dilemma,off we go!" And just like that we were on our way to the shopping centre.
