Aiden's POV

The past few months went by the same by attending school, going home, training or studying, eating, sleeping, and repeating. I've gotten stronger and built up a better stamina and endurance as well as the knowledge that I need to rule a kingdom of multi-species creatures.

I had convinced Lani and Oliver to switch positions in regards to teaching me what they personally excel at and it's worked out a lot better I think. Lani is tougher than Oliver was and Oliver explains the history to me more patiently than Lani did.

I've built a camaraderie with Lani and the crush I had on her has pretty much faded into nothing. Mostly. I think I long for what she shares with Oliver more than just her.

She's now like the best emotionless, slightly intense friend I never had.

They've said that tomorrow we can leave for my new life, since I officially graduate today. I couldn't be more ready either!

I've wanted away from this place since everything happened and now I finally get to leave. I also get to finally mess with my powers once we get to the Kingdom since my bio parents will be there.

Lani and Oliver let me in on some of my parents powers that I could possibly have and how to deal with them if I do, it was nice to finally get some insight.

Oliver also gave me more run down on my lineage including information regarding my uncle, my parents, and a little brother that I get to meet.

His name is Duke, he's fifteen, omnipotent but specializes in earth magic. A specialty that I think Oliver said came from our mom's side. He's also guarded by Lani's younger brother Kai.

Kai is seventeen and a guardian but he is not omnipotent like Lani, he's an atmokinesis with a lightning speciality. I learned Lani is only Omni because she's the first born. Her father's line deals with lightning power while their mother was a Duchess and an Atmokinesis.

I also didn't ask her for this information. I might have manipulated Oliver a bit into telling me about her. Once you get him talking about Lani, it's very hard to get him to stop.

Like, almost impossible.

I'm just ready to move onto my new life and figure out what it is I'm supposed to do once I get there.

When this school year started I was so happy for my senior year and didn't know if I was ready to graduate, I didn't have a plan for my future outside of it.

Now though, I have a plan and a future. I might not understand it fully but it's there and I don't have anything holding me back here anymore.

I walked across a stage to get a piece of paper that holds no weight where I am going. They have their own version of a highschool diploma according to Oliver. They go to that special school as their highschool like a glorified private school, is how I took it.

It seems pointless to even attend and go through with it now, knowing what I am and what I'm going to be doing soon. It's dumb in my opinion but a request from the King can't be ignored and I had to graduate before he'd allow me, and everyone I love, to come to the Kingdom.

The whole ceremony went by in a blur of long speeches, cheering, congratulations, and pictures.

Cassandra and Matthew were smiling so happily and so was Zara. Oliver and Lani wore two different expressions with the former happy, and the latter extremely bored.

She actually looks borderline violent and angry, which I mean isn't new but I haven't seen that look in awhile. I'm going to assume it's because she's surrounded by so many people and she's not exactly a people person.
