~*~*Draco's POV*~*~
I couldn't help but watch the time. I've been fighting with myself since the beginning. Even though Harry was in and out of sleep I couldn't leave him or carry him. His fingers brushed over the mark on my arm and I gritted my teeth. For some reason it hurt worse than burning alive.
The pain subsided a few minutes later. I kept whispering to Harry because there was nothing else I could do. One hour ticked by. Two hours were gone. Three hours later and my entire body was suddenly in pain. I didn't want to wake Harry but his hand rested on my mark and I couldn't stop myself from screaming. Was this what Harry was going through?
Harry mumbled something and I instantly cuddled him. My pain wasn't his problem after all. My eyes landed on my forearm where the mark was supposed to be. It was completely gone. The irritating itch that told me Voldemort was waiting for me to fulfill my duty. The stain on my otherwise spotless skin.
Harry had always made me forget it was there, but now it actually wasn't. My arm didn't tingle with the flow from the dark magic. It wasn't red from how I constantly scratched at it. My skin was bare and free from everything. Except, there was actually something there I could feel it.
I reached over Harry and ran my fingers over the spot. Nothing happened and yet I could still feel that something was different. Harry shifted and I laid back down. I smiled at him because he finally looked at peace. I ran my fingers through his hair and he purred. My heart jumped for joy even if I didn't understand.
"I hope you're really okay now, love." I sighed and held him.
I don't know when I passed out but my arm was itching again. I thought that maybe I had dreamt that the mark disappeared. That was until I opened my eyes. The first thing I saw was the bright smile on Harry's face. I followed his gaze down to my arm. Small paw prints decorated my arm as Harry gently moved his fingers. The prints only showed up where he touched.
"Having fun, Kitten?" I lifted my arm and took his hand.
"Sorry." Harry laughed. "It's just so weird. Look."
He used his other hand and made a line. Some of the paw prints faded and a new bunch showed up. I ran my hand over my arm and everything disappeared. Harry started laughing and made more lines on my arm. His child-like glee made me smile. I almost couldn't believe that he was fine.
"I hope that doesn't happen everywhere." I said as I sat up.
"Nope. I already tried. See." Harry climbed into my lap and drew a circle on my chest.
I looked down but nothing was there. I frowned a little and looked at my arm. It really was so strange. Harry laughed again and drew a heart on my other arm. Nothing happened. He drew a smiley face where the mark used to be and little paws appeared.
"Even if I do this." Harry lifted my arm and kissed it.
I raised an eyebrow as he started laughing. Every paw print on my arm changed shape.
"How long have you been doing this?" I frowned.
"Long enough to know that it only happens where your mark was and how to change the pattern." Harry shrugged. "You've been asleep for almost 12 hours."
"Why didn't you wake me?" I sat up more.
"I tried." Harry shrugged. "I was even getting worried, but you were breathing and you only moved when I touched your arm."
"Are you doing okay?" I asked.
Harry nodded his head and grinned. "Yep. My body is just a little sore but it doesn't matter."
