Ron was pacing. It wasn't because he was worried about something or because he was stressed. He was getting restless waiting for Blaise. Things had been gradually growing between them and Ron had decided to take a leap of faith.

"Hey."

"Took you long enough." Ron sighed.

Blaise smiled a little and shrugged. "I was outside for a while. It sounded major and I guess I was scared so I couldn't come in."

Ron rolled his eyes. "You're an idiot."

"Maybe. But..."

"I'll give you a chance." Ron cut Blaise off.

Ron realized that he was actually really terrified. Not of Blaise exactly but of what he had decided. He needed to get it out of his mouth before he lost the nerve. Blaise's hesitation hadn't helped his nerves and it had given him longer to think it over.

"What?" Blaise was suddenly right in front of Ron.

Ron swallowed the lump forming in his throat. "I still don't know if I like guys in a romantic sense, but you haven't been lying to me. So I will give you a chance."

Blaise took Ron's hand. "You mean that you'll go out with me?"

"Yes, but you're on a trial period. It's not official and we don't tell anyone." Ron couldn't keep eye contact with Blaise.

"So am I allowed to do this..." Blaise lifted Ron's head and kissed him softly.

It wasn't long or forced. Blaise didn't let go of Ron because he wanted to see his reaction. Ron was basically frozen. He hadn't had a guy kiss him before and he was sure it wasn't supposed to send chills down his spine. At least he thought that he was sure. Maybe it was just because he didn't expect it.

"Kiss me again." Ron basically whispered.

Blaise smiled and kissed Ron again. Ron's arms wrapped around Blaise's waist and he moved slightly closer. Blaise pulled away slowly and Ron's arms shot up to wrap around his neck. Blaise smiled against Ron's lips and deepened the kiss. Out of breath and desperate for air, Ron pushed away.

"Blimey. Was that... Was that supposed to feel so good?" Ron questioned in complete astonishment.

"I would hope so." Blaise smirked.

Ron shook his head and smiled a little. He had kissed both Lavender and Hermione but none of them made him feel like this. He needed time to think about it more so he said goodbye to Blaise. The second he was outside and alone his fingers went to his lips. He closed his eyes and tried to picture kissing Lavender but all he saw was Blaise. He tried to picture Hermione. It worked for five seconds and then he was picturing Blaise.

Ron's lips still tingled from the sensation of Blaise kissing him. Everytime he thought about it he got this strange feeling in his gut. Ron figured that he finally understood how Harry was feeling. Harry had once explained that being away from Draco was like being sucked into a void.

Right now all Ron could think about was the warmth of Blaise's arms around him. He really didn't want to be relying on Blaise the way Harry relied on Draco. He understood that they had different situations but he felt like crap for leaving Blaise alone. Before he knew what was happening he found himself standing in front of Harry and Draco.

"Ron, are you okay?" Harry asked.

"I kissed him." Ron mumbled.

Before long Draco was gone and Harry was sitting on the bed with Ron. Ron's inner voice was screaming and Harry could see it in his eyes. Harry didn't ask questions or pester Ron to talk so they just sat there in silence.

"I promised I'd keep his secret but I can't." Ron eventually said. "I can't because I need your help and I can't explain it to you without giving away his secret."

"I'm sure he'd understand." Harry patted Ron's shoulder.

"Blaise Zabini has a creature inheritance." Ron blurted.

"Oh. Yeah I knew that. So what about it?" Harry frowned.

Ron stared at Harry for a moment and shook his head. "He's the reason I was looking into creatures and stuff. He told me that he was a dominant vampire and I was his submissive. How did you know about his inheritance?"

Harry tapped his nose in response to the question. "That makes some sense. But why do you need advice?"

"I never thought that I liked guys and I started thinking about if I could so I told Blaise that I'd give it a try. Harry, he kissed me. He kissed me and everything I thought exploded. I don't understand why I'm craving him." Ron sighed.

"Clam down Ron. It's natural to feel confused. I take it that you got to know each other?" Ron nodded. "Well then think of it like this. He is a good guy and I'm sure if you said you weren't ready he wouldn't have kissed you..."

"Until today I never gave him the opportunity." Ron interrupted.

"And I guess he was okay waiting. Which means that if you decide no he'll accept it. And for the record, craving him has absolutely nothing to do with being his submissive. You just like him and want to jump his bones." Harry bounced his eyebrows.

Ron scoffed and rolled his eyes. They both burst out laughing. Ron thanked Harry for the conversation and left. He felt better now that he had spoken to Harry about it. He still didn't want to see Blaise because he still had some things to figure out but he knew that if he did see Blaise he wouldn't freak out.

*~*~*~*~*

The two week trial period ended faster than either Ron or Blaise would have liked. Blaise still honoured the agreement and kept his distance from Ron like he did before. Ron was a little hurt by that but he understood. They had agreed to two weeks and Ron hadn't said anything about being official.

It took less than a day for that to change though. Ron and Harry had spoken again after lunch. Ron was more than relieved that his best friend supported his choice in partner. In two weeks Ron had accepted the fact that he liked girls sure, but he was definitely gay for Blaise. When he told Harry that Harry had laughed and told him to catch his man.

By the time dinner had come Ron was 100% sure he wanted everyone to know that Blaise was his. Ron caught Harry smiling and bouncing his eyebrows at him. It caused Ron to laugh and had drawn the attention of some of the people around him. Harry gestured to Blaise with his head which was easy to tell because Blaise was sitting right next to him.

"Fuck it." Ron sighed and stood up.

At first no one really cared about what he was doing. Then they started to realize that he was walking towards the Slytherin table. It was nothing more than whispers. Assumptions about him going to talk to Harry. That was until he stopped behind Blaise and tapped his shoulder.

Blaise turned to face Ron but didn't get the chance to say much. Ron locked their lips together in an instant. The chatter in the Hall grew louder and Ron broke the kiss.

"The trial period is over so let's make it official." Ron said.

"Seriously? You're not pulling my chain?" Blaise asked.

"Yes. I want to be with you." Ron shrugged.

Blaise stood up and kissed Ron again. Harry whistled and clapped his hands like a child. Ron smiled against Blaise's lips and gently pushed him away.

"Maybe later I'll pull on your chain." Ron whispered to Blaise.

Blaise laughed and gave Ron a peck. He was glad Ron wanted to be his. In the way only Slytherin's could, he decided to make a point of "explaining" what just happened.

Blaise climbed onto the bench and yelled. "Ronald Weasley is My boyfriend so hands off and keep your opinions to yourselves."

Ron rolled his eyes and gave Harry a high five. It might have seemed like the normal thing a friend would do but since he now knew Harry was a Little it was easy to realize that Harry had regressed. Harry was happy for Ron and the childlike glee was evident. Blaise climbed down and kissed Ron again. Both of them earned a gagging sound from Harry.

"You're officially mine." Blaise said.

"Good." Ron smiled.
