[Playing in the rain]

(Apologies for not posting for a long time! I've been very stressed with things and I'm running out of ideas, so don't be shy to share some thoughts <3)

"Mom?" you hear Collector call. "What is it baby?" you question turning around from your spot on the couch and seeing him looking out the window. "What's falling from the sky?" he asks.

Walking over you see it was raining. "Oh, that's just rain," you answer. "Careful though it's acid and can burn you,". Walking back to the couch you get comfy. Hunter was in his room filling out school application forms since that was starting up soon.

"Will the rain hurt our garden?" Collector asks floating over and sitting by you. "Oh no honey I use a special fertilizer to prevent the plants from taking harm from the rain," you answer. "Oh then can we play in the rain?" he ask looking up at you.

"Hmm I don't know," you say hesitantly. "Please mom! If you can pervent the plants from taking damage you can do the same for us right?" he ask. "I- *sigh* alright lets find some coats and boots then we can all go out to play in the rain," you say getting up.

"Yay! We're going to play in the rain!" Collector cheers following you. "Yep now help me find some coats so you both don't get cold," you say opening up a closet.

(Timeskip)

"Are you sure about this?" Hunter asks watching the rain fall. "Yes now come on!" you say stepping outside to make sure the spell works. Seeing no harm was done to you both boys run out.

"Hey mom I'm a frog see!" Collector calls jumping in puddles with his blue frog raincoat. "What?! What happened to my baby?" you joke. "Suprise!" Collector exclaims pulling of the hood. "See mommy I'm still here,"

"Good I thought I lost you there for a moment" you say pulling his hood back on and rubbing your noses together cause him to giggle. Standing back you turn to see what Hunter was up to. The poor boy was too scared to come out from under the umbrella you gave him.

"Hey hunter I thought you said you experienced rain in the human world?" you ask walking over to him. "I did, but rain here is different, and what if your spell where's off?" he says holding the umbrella tighter.

"Psh it won't," you say waving your hand. "Used to use this spell all the time when I was a kid with Eda," "Oh," he says.

"Look I'm not going to push you but when you're ready you can come play with us," you say patting his shoulder and then heading back to play with Collector. "Collector put the frog down!" you say rushing over.

As Hunter watched you leave he thought about what you said. Sticking a hand out he feels some of the water hit his skin, but it doesn't burn. Slowly he puts his arm out, and then half of his body. "Alright you can do this Hunter," he says closing the umbrella causing Flapjack to make a noise of discomfort.

"Sorry buddy," Hunter says petting the palisman before it flies off back to the dry house. Looking back to you and Collector who was splashing in more puddles getting you soaked.

"Hey mom," Hunter asks quietly walking over to you. "What's up kid," you ask looking over at him. "Can I j-join you?" "Of course!" you exclaim giving Hunter a side hug not seeing the jealous look from a certain star kid.

Collector splashes the both of you. "Hehe sorry~," he apologizes before both you and Hunter join the splash fight.

"Who wants hot cocoa!?" you call from the kitchen setting the kettle on the stove. "Me!" you hear two voices yell.
