Sitting on the sofa, he stared at the black screen of the TV, eating popcorn. It was so boring. Nothing interesting was on TV, so he switched it off. Caym sighed. Maybe he could find a movie on a DVD somewhere? There had to be more than those many books.

Quickly he stood up and looked through the other wooden furniture in the livingroom. He found old self-recorded CDs, tapes, empty boxes of phones, instruction manuals and family photos. No DVDs here. In the chest of drawers with the aquarium on top, were only different cans of fish food and water preparation bottles inside.

Next, Caym searched through the bookshelf again, throwing all books on the floor. He left the plants untouched but the all decorations were already brocken. Nothing else here. He screamed out of frustration.
Where were the DVDs?!

He threw the TV off the lowboard and it made a very loud noise.
Damn it!
Why did I do that?!

Caym was just so angry. His hands were shaking. He screamed again.

Then he heard a knock on the door.
"Hey neighbor! Is everything okay in there?"

Watchful neighbores. Great.
Caym disguised his voice: "yes, of course! Don't worry!"

"Are you sure? What was that then?", the neighbor asked.

"Yes, I'm sure! It was nothing! All okay!", Caym replied.

"Alright!" he said. Then it went silent.

He probably left, Caym thought and sighed in relief. Hopefully the neighbor didn't know that the inhabitants were on holiday. Or he actually knew and this was just a test. Maybe he should take care of him then.

Quickly Caym ran out of the room through the door. He caught the neighbor in the hallway.
It was an elderly man with thin white hair and a brown checked shirt.
He won't kill an old man, will he? But he had to, right?

Caym sighed.
No one will believe the man, if he told, he saw a vampire. Everyone will think, he had alzheimer. Caym could easily scare him away. Or hit him on the head and he will fall unconcious. He will wake up, not knowing what happend.

The man still stared at him, as if he was a ghost.

Caym raised his hands to claws, exposed his sharp vampire teeth and let his eyes glow up frightening white.

The elderly man looked at him with wide eyes and a shocked face expression, but he froze on the spot.

Caym had expected him to run away.
