Hadrian made eye contact with a smirking brown haired, amber eyed boy when the hat yelled "SLYTHERIN!", Darian sat next to Hadrian before Dumbledore made an announcement "before we start the feast I would like to introduce your new defence against the dark arts teacher Professor Quirrel, Mr Filtch has also asked that I inform you, the third floor corridor on the right hand side is off limits, and the forbidden forest is out of bounds. Let the feast commence" and food was summoned to the tables.
"is my beauty too much for thy serpentine eyes?" He asked Hadrian who was still staring "it is you, your here" Draco took notice of their conversation "do you two know each other?"
Darian nods "we've been in correspondence since we were six, although we haven't met in person till now" Hadrian smiles at his friend, then an idea pops into his head "so how are Mia and Leah?" He inquires innocently, making Darian groan to the amusement and confusion of Draco "they keep hounding me about what happened with their friend, I don't even know her name for hell's sake!" Darian says exasperated but before Hadrian could reprimand his use of language, Professor McGonagall tinks a glass with a spoon to gain everyone's attention "all first years please follow their house prefects to their respective common rooms".
They did as instructed, Darian, Draco, and Hadrian at the front of the Slytherin pack.
When they got to the entrance, the prefect explained how the password system worked and Corraled all of them into the common room where they were told about curfew and got directions to their dorm rooms.
Professor Snape walked majestically into the room "I am Professor Severus Snape, I will be your head of house during your time here at hogwarts. While you are here, if you have a dispute with a fellow house member you will do good to handle it in private, if it is with someone of a different house you will bring it directly to me or another teacher. I do not make a habit of taking points from my own house but I do hand out detentions, and while you are here I expect that you live up to some of the expectations our house is privy to but it won't be detrimental if you find that you can not. You shall attend at least two meals a day, breakfast is mandatory. I'll be handing out time tables in the morning, I suggest you get settled in."
With that he turned to walk towards what we assume to be his office.Hadrian, Draco, and Darian make their way up the stairs and down a hallway on the right to find that all the rooms have silver name plates next to them listing three names to a room, they come across one with their names on it and enter to see each of their trunks at the end of a comfy looking bed decked in green bedding.
"Looks like we're roomies" Darian states smiling "nice" Draco says whilst looking around the room, "hey Hades, can I meet Persephone? She sounded really sweet in your letters" Hadrian pulled off his robe nodding.
Draco raises a brow "who's Persephone?"
"My familiar" ^Persy you can come out now, we're in the dorms with Darian and a new friend^ to this she peeks her head out of the collar of his sweater vest.
"You speak parseltongue?!" Draco exclaims in shock, "yes and this is Persy she's quite sweet and likes to meet new people" as Hadrian says this, Persephone had already moved her boby down Hadrian's arm so her head was closer to Draco ^thisss one ssmells of insecuritiess and sugar but he seemss nice^ Hadrian couldn't help the snort that escaped him "What's so funny?!" Draco asks indignantly, Darian already having changed his clothes, sits on Hadrian's bed as they talk.
"I'm sorry Draco it's just, she said that you smell like sugar" 'yep we're gonna leave it at that' Draco's cheeks lit a soft shade of pink "Thanks I guess" he pets Persephone who enjoys the attention before leaving Hadrian's arm in favor of checking out the child sitting criss-cross on her master's bed.
^this must be the funny one, he smells like that paper with the weird shapes!^ She moves up to lay around Darian's shoulders "nice to meet you too Persy" he also pets her just as Draco had before, while Hadrian finishes changing and climbs onto the bed.
