The vows

Scarlett

I woke up to the sun hitting my face. I looked to my right and saw Ryder sleeping peacefully. I seriously can't believe we expressed our feelings to each other yesterday. I looked and admired the ring on my hand. I was officially his fiancée. I was interrupted from my train of thought when I heard Ryder's voice.

"I think I've been replaced...My fiancée loves her ring more than me"

"I do love the ring but I think your mistaken I love the person who gave me the ring"

"oh you do now?"

"Yeah I do...do you know where he is?"

"Yeah I do... I kidnapped him because he stole my girl so I'm going to steal his"

"oh really?"

"Yes"

we both just burst out laughing.

"okay we need to get up Ry... let's go"

"ugh...fine princess"

Ryder

We went downstairs and I set out the table while she made breakfast. We began to eat when the door bell rang... who that could be I thought. I got up to cheek that it was. Oh shit it was mine and Scarlett's parents. I quickly told Scar to get changed and she ran up the stairs.

While she was getting changed I opened the door to allow them in.

"hello mum, dad, Mr. Johnson"

"how many times do I have to tell you call me by my first name"

"sorry sir.....I mean Andrew"

Scarlett came downstairs and ran towards her dad.

"daddy I missed you so much"

"I don't believe you....you haven't rang me in weeks" he said jokingly

"sorry....A lot has happened these past weeks so I couldn't ring"

"Scar....I was only joking" he said

"oh"

"sorry to interrupted but why you here?" I asked

"you forgot?....Your getting married in two days we need to sort everything out"

"wait two days" me and Scar said

"yes honey two days"

This is going to be one hell of a day I thought.

"Okay what needs doing then?" My mum asked.

"we just need to get a photographer and a makeup artist for Scarlett... the rest is done" I said

"have you wrote the vows yet"

"No we forgot all about that"

"okay...your dad and Andrew will find a photographer...I'll find a makeup artist and you two write your vows I want to hear them before we leave"

"okay mum" I said as we left to do our jobs.

We began to write our vows. I sat on the sofa and Scarlett on the dining table. My mind went completely blank. I looked over and saw Scarlett writing away on the piece of paper. I can't even get the first word out. How am I supped to finish this today? Scarlett's going to have the perfect vows and I'm just going to be stood there with nothing to say. I needed help.

Scarlett

I sat down on the dining table for an hour drawing a picture of me in my wedding dress standing next to Ryder. My mind went blank. I didn't know what to write. I needed help. I looked over my shoulder and saw Ryder writing something. Great he loves me more then I love him, he's probably going to finish before I do.

How about from the moment I saw you I knew I loved you. Umm....no that's not true I used to want to kill him. This is so hard. I looked at the time, it's been three hours and I was getting hungry.

"Ry....do you want a sandwich?"

"Ummm...yea please"

I hid my piece of paper and went to make the sandwich. I didn't want Ryder to see I haven't written anything about him.

"Here you go Ryder" I said giving him his sandwich

"thank you babe."

"So how's the writing coming along....just to warn you mines going to be much better than yours" I lied

"um...I don't think so princess. Once I've said my vows you'll be left in tears"

"We shall see at the wedding then" I said confidently to show Ryder my 'vows' were better than his.

Ryder

I just lied through my teeth to Scarlett. I really had no idea what to write she was so confident I had to show her I was too. Who knew writing vows were so hard.

An hour later I managed to write some of the vows. I must say I have done a good job.

'Kids we are back." I heard the parents say.

"Okay kids show me the vows" my mum said.

We went to show my mum the vows we had wrote and by the look on her face she loved them both.

"Oh my god the vows are so sweet I can't wait for you to hear them at the wedding"

After another hour of talking about the wedding our parents decided to stay at our house so they went upstairs to bed. I and scar wanted to stay up a little later so we sat on the sofa cuddled up watching a film.

"I love you scar" I told her

she looked up at me and smiled

"I love you too Daniels"

I kissed her on the check and we watched the rest of the film.
