Over the next few years the families would meet. Ember's brothers enjoyed having Hongjoong and San visit.

But for Ember there were times that she felt left out. Being the only daughter, she wasn't allowed to go on hunting trips, or sail on the sea. Hongjoong's mother made sure that, Ember stayed close to the castle.

Ember's own mother knew the pain in her daughter. Ember was encouraged to be like her brothers growing up. But she was proud of her daughter, for Ember never complained.

It wasn't until one day that while the men went out, Ember was so mad. Hongjoong's mother had once again made a remark, "a young lady doesn't play with arrows nor does she sail the sea." Ember had, had enough. Forgetting all that a princess should and shouldn't do. Ember glared at the water queen and left.

Ember walked to the fountains in the courtyard. trying to get rid of her anger. but looking at the water did nothing for her temper.

" did my mother say something again?" aske Hongjoong. She turned at looked at him. Those soft brown eyes did grabbed her attention.

"another remark that a princess cant do this or do that. but its fine. i will still do what i want, when i want." she told him.

" then lets go, come on." he held out his hand and she looked at him. " come, I'll take you somewhere." Ember was still pissed off when she took his hand. within mintues her temper was gone.

Hongjoong led her to that stables, knowing which horse was her, he told her to get on. she did and he climbed up behind her.

soon they were leaving the castle grounds. they both heard his mother shouting at them to return. Embers mother just smiled.

they stayed silent, until Hongjoong led them from the small forest to the shores of the ocean. the second she saw the ocean, she felt  something inside her. she was going to have to think about what had happened over the last hour or so.

The gardens foutains didn't calm her down. but sitting in front of Hongjoong on the horse did. having him near her calmed her down, so much that she thought she was being stupid for being mad at his mother.

she was going to have to talk to her own mother about her feelings and her temper.

Hongjoong got off of the horse and held his arms open for Ember to get down, she let him. she noticed that this time around he was being more of gentleman then last year. last year they all ran in the fields together.

she was also concered that this time, San didnt come with Hongjoong. " may i ask you a question?" she just had to know.

" of course, you can ask me anything." he told her. he smiled at her and she realized that she loves it when he smiles.

" why didn"t San come this time. Woo was pretty sad not seeing him?"

" mhm, my father has San training in our army. He's now at that age. my father wouldnt let him come. i had my training last year. after we returned home from here."
