"I'm done. You can go now". Solei ran off to go play in the backyard and Jemima started cleaning up the hair supplies she used for her younger sister.

"Ughh. All this hair on the floor", she groaned, getting the vacuum, feeling her back cramp up.

She'd come back home the day after the party much to Dayvon's dismay and his efforts to get her to stay longer. He made sure to call her everyday and texted her when they weren't on the phone.

Currently, her mom had all her family round the house for the day and she couldn't be happier. While Jemima low-key wanted them all to go. Most of her family were fine but her auntie from her dad's side.

Her whole family just rubbed her the wrong way. Her auntie Yvette was one of those prestige black women who acted like she didn't care about others opinions but really and truly, she did. Heavily.

After she had cleaned up and put everything away, she made her way to the kitchen we're all the women were.

Her cousins Harper, Taniika and aunties Emoni and and Yvette along with her mom, stood placed around the open room.

"Cousinnnn!", Harper squealed, wrapping her arms around the girl, "I missed you so much!"

Jemima smiled and laughed as they pulled away, "I wasn't gone long". Yvette tutted her teeth and folded her arms, "Damn near go every month. Basically live there", she mumbled while she eyed her brothers daughter.

Her mom, Tamara, cut her eyes to the older women and pursed her lips but decided not to say anything that would rile her up.

Yvette was simply jealous that a girl much younger than her lived a better lifestyle. Multiple arguments were made by her when she found out Von and Durk had made it out and took their families with them. As Jemima's aunt, she felt he should've moved them all aswell as a provider for the women in their relashionship. To her, it made perfect sense but everyone could see her delusion.

Jemima's family and also her immediate family, claiming they were just as important.

One thing about Yvette was she never actually had a stable job or an income brought by herself. She fed of her husband and acted like she did all the work. Everyone knew what was going on in their weird, twisted family but acted like they didn't.

"Oh hush Yvette. She's here now ain't she?", Emoni said. Emoni was her mother's sister and Taniika's mom and unlike the others, she wasn't afraid to speak her mind.

The women stayed quiet as they all talked amongst themselves.

The three younger girls stood by the countertop and caught up while the others prepared the food. According to them, they weren't old grannies and didn't need help, as they stated, when the girls offered to help.
