"It's like princess diaries but minus the princess part."

"I knowwww right!"

I fall back into the heavenly goodness of my bed. They asked me to change the room into the family quarters and I'm not unhappy. My new room isn't a room but a suite. Full with a living room and walk-in closet. The balcony itself is larger than my room back home.

"I can't believe this is my life now. Eeeeeee," I scream into the receiver to Bani.

I couldn't have survived long without telling Bani about this amazing revelation in my life. I need catharsis too.

"Please don't forget about me now that you're super rich," she says.

"Huh, blasphemy! I need someone to spend it with," I say.

"Like it's just that," she replies meaningfully.

"I know but anyways, how's everything in school? I won't be missing much, but you've gotta keep me updated on everything!" I say.

"As if you care about everything. You can just ask me about what's with Eshan."

"This is the reason I love you so much. So yeah, what's with Eshan?"

"Other than Shreya, nothing much. Oh, he did ask Jasmine where you were?"

"Oh my god, do you think he misses me- wait what about Shreya?" I shriek.

"Oh just that he seems to like her lap very much, probably the reason why he keeps trying to climb into it. Now the whole class including Geeta ma'am think they are dating. Oh my god, you should've been there when she told them 'these things are not allowed in our school' as if saying relationships or boyfriend-girlfriend itself was a taboo."

"God that bitch! I hope her hair falls off. I hope she fails at math-"

"Not if Eshan tutors her-"

"Stop trying to make it worse!"

Someone knocks on the door.

"Hey wait, I'll talk to you tonight. Vikram is here."

Vintage cars lined the shed

Vintage cars lined the shed. Each one more exquisite than the last. I stepped forward and grazed my hand across the red mustang. I'm not much of a motorhead but I do appreciate the beauty and this one is absolutely gorgeous and reminds me of old Hollywood movies.

Vikram had made good on his promise to show me around the haveli pairing it with insights of an owner and some more childhood anecdotes.

We started with the ground floor with its many halls and rooms until Vikram got bored and said 'well the rest of the house is the same, let's go out ' I would have disagreed but I too was bored after a while and now understand well that he was dying to show me his vintage car collection.

"I got this one when I completed my college education. I still remember coming home and seeing it outside the gate. I nearly forgot to greet my mother in my hurry to take it on a drive," he laughs at the memory. "And I also crashed it into a tree before it completed its first kilometre in my hands."
