Trial of the Professer

Kylie, Harvey, and Ben walked through the small but busy costal town of Genesis Bay after waking up in the Pokemon Center and finding a McDrillburs to have breakfast. As they walked they followed the signs to the Pokemon Reaserch Lab so Kylie and Harvey could get their first pokemon. It was a rather large building on the outskirts of town with a fairly basic building design to it. Walking inside they were met with a man in a lab coat and glasses at the front desk, and a few other Reaserchers bustling about the place, carrying out their various tasks. "Ah, good morning sir." Kylie said as she walked up to the desk, "Me and my Friend Harvey are here to speak with the Professer about getting our first pokemon."

The man scanned the three before stating, "The professor is currently out at the moment taking care of some issues at his place of residence in the woods just past route one. But if you wish to take a pokemon, just fill out this form here and select one of the three available starters that have been shipped in from other regions." The man handed Kylie and Harvey a sheet on a clipboard with a pen and the two signed it before they approached three pokeballs on an adjacent table, all of them opening to reveal; The Fire Type Scorbunny. The Grass Type Snivy. And the Water Type Mudkip.

The two observed the pokemon as the pokemon stared back, with the snivy looking delighted at Harvey before jumping into his arms unexpectedly. "Whoa! Hey! What's going on!?" Harvey said in alarm as the Snivy curled around his neck. "I think that Snivy likes you. Anyway... I'd like to pick you!" Kylie said as she lifted up the Scorbunny and took its pokeball, with Harvey shrugging and picking up Snivy's pokeball. The leftover Mudkip appeared to shrug its shoulders before it hopped off the desk and began walking around. The three thanked the man at the front desk before leaving for the area marked route one, walking into a dense forest with a thick enough canopy that the sun was pretty much blocked from illuminating the path.

The three walked down the forest trail for what felt like a few hours before Kylie finally said, "What time is it? I feel like we've been going in circles!" Ben checked his phone before saying, "No way! We've practically spent the whole day in here! It's almost eleven pm at night!" The other two were shocked as the sound of a twig snapping nearby easily startled the group. "What the hell was that? Is someone out there?" Harvey called into the darkness, then a large geometrical beast easily twice the size of a full grown Ryperior came flying out of the darkness and was headed straight for the group. Before it could attack any of the group a voice called out, "Arron! Use Buldoze!"

A Flygon then dropped through the tree line and pounded the ground, sending chunks of earth up in the shape of a ramp pointing to the right. The creature followed the ramp and dissapeared into the forest once again. "Everflame! Get those kids to safety, we can handle this from here!" The voice said again as a man wearing glasses and a lab coat riding the Legendary Pokemon Xerneas came out of the forest, tossing a pokeball to the ground, and running off after the creature with Flygon also giving chase.

The pokeball then opened and the three kids watched as a Delphox appeared before them, grabbed the pokeball off the ground, pulled a stick out of its fur, ignited it, and then gestured for the group to follow it. The group looked in-between each other before following the Delphox the man had presumably called Everflame. They followed the warm glow of Everflames torch before they happened upon a rather large Cabin surrounded by all sorts of pokemon.

Everflame led them up the porch and through the front door of the cabin and into a rather spacious living area, gesturing them to sit on a couch before walking into another room. The three sat down and begun talking. "What on earth just happened?" Kylie said as she comfortingly pet her Scorbunny who was a little shaken up from the whole ordeal. "Well some guy riding Xerneas appeared to be chasing an ultra beast known as Necrozma. But I thought it had been dealt with in Alola a few years back. So what's it doing here?" Ben said holding his Squirtle in his arms. "I mean, it's obvious this Cabin belongs to that guy Riding Xerneas so it's likey that was the Pokemon Professor, but I thought they were a female." Harvey said as his Snivy fell asleep around his neck.

Then they were interupted as the sound of the front door opened as a Wigglytuff quickly ran by and over to it, where they heard the Guy from earlier say, "Hey Wiggly. Would you mind taking the guys to the nursery? They got hurt pretty bad back there. Thank you so much." They then saw the Guy walk in, taking off his coat and glasses as he undid his hair he had in a loose ponytail before he noticed the three of them. "Oh! Hello there! So sorry for the rushed introduction back there. Allow me to introduce myself, I'm Professor Robert Redwood, it's nice to meet you all in a less tense moment then before."
