his love

It's noon and you're on his ship

You're still not over what you did to your parents even though it has been two weeks

you pick up your dads skull from the desk and hold it to eye level

you stare straight into it's hollow eye sockets

"Did you even love me?" you ask the skull

you feel like  the skull  is staring back at you but it doesn't respond

It fills you with a sense of dread but you can't look away from the expressionless skull 

"What is this feeling?" you mumble

You don't feel remorse for your actions but you can't quite pinpoint what you do feel

"I do wish this could've gone different" you sigh and put the skull down "I don't miss them but I miss what could've been"

You stand there pondering looking at the display of skulls 

"is this how he feels?" you wonder "a weird sense of sadness and pride?"

"I wonder how he feels about what I did?" you ponder to yourself

"Is he proud?" you think

you keep thinking about Tau'ka your mind going all sorts of places

"what made him hunt on the plannet?"  you mumble "and what made him so interested in me?"

You put your dads skull down 

"I wonder how he Tau'ka would feel about this?"  you mumble 

Just as you spoke those words you hear a soft knock on the door 

"speaking of the devil" you say "come in"

Tau'ka stands in the doorway carefully looking at you

He isn't wearing his mask but he doesn't really seem to do that around you

He makes some clicking noises before correcting himself 

"are you okay, ooman?" he asks 

"I'm doing as good as currently possible" you respond 

"me- no.. I am making food" he says in his deep raspy voice "will it make you feel better?"

"shut up, dumb dumb" you say "just come here"

He steps closer to you unsure what to do 

You grab him by his waist and pull him closer 

He doesn't resist 

"this must be really weird to you" you sigh as you hug him "I just need a hug right now... It's all too much"

Tau'ka makes some confused clicking sounds but embraces you

"why did it all have to go this way" you say softly shaking in his arms

He gently places his hand on your head without saying a word 

"First I lose my best friend I've had for years, I kill my parents" you say as you begin sobbing "and you're the one that killed kai"

"you goddamn killed them yet I can't help but have these weird feelings towards you" you softly sob as you slam your fist into his chest 

"I don't know what to do with or without you" you mumble 

He makes some reassuring clicking sounds you don't quite understand but you know he means well

"So much happening in such a short time span..." you sob "It's all so much"

Tau'ka wipes your tears from your face with his big hands
