Build's POV - 3 years later

I never got tired of seeing him happy and smiling. He could take pleasure in the smallest of things, no matter what it was. He reminded me so much how happy someone could truly be. Swinging was always his favorite, not surprising...considering who his father was. We'd been here for 30 minutes already and we hadn't made it past them yet. All the mom's always seemed to find benches around us when we came to the park together. I didn't mind talking to them, but most of them just tried flirting with me and asking me personal questions. I was always polite and would always avoid the inevitable question, where's his mother. It was always a surprise when I'd tell them. The new ones to the park would always flock over still, but the ones who'd seen us before would give a courteous nod and keep their distance. I had gotten so caught up in my thoughts that I hadn't even felt Prapai pull on my shirt.

"Unc Pe, we go now?"

I smiled down at him and lifted him from the swing. I had been so excited when Apo and Mile had told me they were having a kid, it was unexpected and took a minute to wrap my head around the fact that Apo could even get pregnant, but here we were 3 years later, I was Uncle Pete and he was the light of my life. I'd had a pretty hard time after Bible had left, but I slowly came around, Bas and I had tried to be in a relationship, but he knew deep down that my heard wasn't in it. Him and Pol had ended up getting together and I expected them to get engaged any time now. Big was true to his word and went to work for his uncle. He'd met a sweet girl there named Praya and they'd gotten married a few months go. No one had seen or heard from Bible since graduation, or if they had they never mentioned him around me. I finally made my way to my car, got Prapai strapped in and headed home. I'd started living with them a few months after graduation, I'd been a mess and Apo knew I needed to be around them. I'd never been really close to my family. They were always busy and had never made time with me, so when they offered I didn't even hesitate to pack my stuff up and move into their guest house. Mile's dad had bought him the house as a graduation gift. He knew Mile wanted privacy with Apo. I heard laughing in the back of the car and could see Prapai playing with his stuffed bird. When we finally got home, Apo immediately rushed out to us and grabbed Prapai from me.

"How's the most handsome little boy in the world?" He placed kisses all over his face and rubbed their noses together.

"Well like always in one piece and not crying, so overall I'd say he's pretty good?"

Apo shot me a glare, "When you have a child you will understand why I'm as a crazy as I am about him."

"Probably, but we both know that won't be happening, at least not any time soon, I'd have to find a husband first. Speaking of which, where is yours?"

"Oh, well, he, ummmm...he's finishing up with a client and then he'll come out."

I gave him a weird look and started walking towards the front door when Apo stepped in front of me.

"Po, what's your deal? Can't I go inside with you and Prapai so I can play with him some more."

I went for the door again when he stepped in front of me again. "I don't think you want to do that."

"I assure you I do. We only left because he got bored, but I want to spend some more time with him. I've been so busy with work I haven't been able to in a while."

I'd just finished my sentence when I heard a familiar voice. I froze on the spot and all color drained from my face. Was that really him standing there talking to Mile?

"Thanks for agreeing to meet with me. I know it's been a while but I wanted to re-acclimate myself to Thailand before I start go working for my dad. I haven't been here in so long I feel like I almost forgot how to..."

Our eyes locked and I was never so thankful Prapai wasn't in my arms. I felt myself blacking out, catching him in my sight before my eyes finally closed.
