(Mid day the next day)

Me and renee are doing the afternoon patrol on the south part of the territory. I notice a pice of fur stuck on some bark on a tree, it looks like it might be some blood on it.
I pick it up a show renee she looks at it with me. I smell it but i don't recognize it, but it smells foul.
I mind link my dad a tell him I found something. He mind links me back to let me know he is in a meeting and he'll be here shortly. Me and renee start looking around I see some tracks but they stop a few feet away. I got this feeling we're not alone.

Topaz: I got a weird feeling Veena, stay on your toes.

I look over to renee and she is sitting on a log looking over the tuff of fur.
I hear a twig snap and turn around but I don't see anyone. That's weird I say out loud to no one in general.

Renee: huh what's weird?

Veena: I thought I heard something

Before either of us seen him, Ricky jumps out of one of the bushes by renee and she lays a hard punch to his jaw.

Ooooooowwwwww damn renee, why you hit me like that. Ricky says holding his face.

Renee: shit why are you jumping out of bushes, hell Veena talking about she hearing shit I thought you was here to kill us shoot

He looks at me and starts to look around where we are.

Ricky: I don't see anything,

Renee shows him the tuff of fur and he looks at me with a look on his face I've never seen before, he scans the area again and tells us to get back to the pack house. We all run back to the pack house and I mind link my dad and let him know we are on our way up to his office. Once we get to the office Ricky gives the fur to my dad. Ricky looks at my dad and says ROUGES! My dad sniffs the fur and a look of anger appears across his face.

Dad: Ricky you take Jacob and a few other warriors with you I want the whole area searched immediately. The sent is faint so it's been there a few days. I just need to be sure.

My dad mind links the pack and let's everyone know to stay in their homes for the remainder of the day and to go into lockdown.
My dad looks at me and renee and tells us to go in my room and stay there.
(6hours later)

My dad let's the pack know lock down is over.

I mind like Ricky and tell him to meet me in my room so we can talk.
10 minutes later he walks in my room, and sits on my bed.
Look Ricky you are my best friend and I don't want to mess it up by trying to date, I tell him but he isn't having it.

Ricky: how do you know it won't work out? We'll still be friends

Veena: Ricky you have a mate out there that will love you better than I ever can.

Ricky: how do you know im not your mate? Or you just want alpha sora to be your mate? You like him more than me?

Veena: (sigh) Ricky it's not like that your my best friend and I love you, BUT it's different with sora I feel a connection, a pull to him. But I will always be here for you okay. I reach over and give him a hug.

He shakes his head yea, and then looks at me with a worried look on his face.
I think you need to talk to your dad he says as he gets up and walks out.

I go to my dad's office and he's pacing the floor. (Knock, knock) he turns and looks at me. Veena im glad you're here we need to talk, he says looking at me with the same worried look as Ricky.

Veena: what's going on dad?

Dad: Veena that night we found you in the woods were you with anyone?
I explained to him the bright light, and about the voice telling me to go back and then passing out.
Now my dad is looking at me with a death stare.

Dad: VENUS STAR! ARE YOU SERIOUS?
Topaz:ooohhh he used your real name he's pissed.

Veena: shut up Topaz. Dad I'm sorry I didn't think it was anything serious at the time.

Dad: sweetheart do you know where you were when we found you?
We found you on the south part of the territory the same spot your mother was killed and the same spot where you found the fur of the Rouge. Veena baby from what the labs are telling us the blood on the fur was exposed for 4 days. It was there the day we found you in the woods.

WHAT! dad what does this mean, he tells me they can't find any trace of it anywhere but he has taken me off patrol and added a few more men to each patrol. I leave my dad's office and mind link renee and tell her everything my dad told me. I get to my room and shower and call alpha sora. We talk all night until I fall asleep otp with him.

Grabs my hand and we walk around the pond to the bench.
