(TW for emetophobia.)

It was such an elegant date night that Jay had been planning for months. The night consisted of a 5 star, fancy restaurant. The menu was expensive, but Jay couldn't put a price on you, so it was no bother to him. You were priceless, and you deserved everything.

You had decided to go for the seafood option, whilst Jay had chosen the steak. The food and the smooth tasting wine complimented each other quite well, and the image of the glimmering Jay in front of you made the whole night special.

The food tasted good, but you couldn't help but feel as if it was a lot more chewy than you expected it to be. You kept it to yourself though, there was no need to complain right now.

Both you and Jay had been drinking a little, so you walked home instead of driving. It wasn't that cold outside yet, it was tolerable. It was a long walk, but Jay called it a "digestion walk" which he liked to do after big meals.

The walk should have been refreshing, however, your stomach had been cramping up for quite some time now and though you had been trying to keep it low-key in hopes not to ruin the mood- the pain only got worse.

You finally hunched over a bit and groaned, being in a very vulnerable state.

"Oh, are you not feeling well?" Jay was a bit alarmed.

You couldn't get yourself to respond, because you felt that if you opened your mouth you'd immediately barf. Jay quickly understood and picked you up in a hurry, carrying you the whole way home. Silently praying you wouldn't throw up on him.

When you both arrived home, Jay rushed you to the bathroom. You barely made it in, throwing up and sweating from the pain. He collected your hair into a small bunch in his hands and held it away from your face as you continued to vomit. He rubbed your back in support, and continuously whispered "You're okay" in a comforting tone beside you.

After you had finished projectile vomiting into the toilet, Jay looked you over and noticed your shirt soaked in your own throw up.

"Here, lets get you sorted shall we?"

He helped take your shirt off and replaced it with his own shirt. He smiled at how oversized it was on you, covering you almost to your knees.

"I'm sorry for ruining tonight." You said with a guilty feeling, looking at your own feet, head hung in shame.

He lifted your chin up gently with his finger and looked at you for a moment.

"Don't be sorry for something that wasn't your fault my darling. I'm guessing you have food poisoning from the meal earlier."

You shrugged, unsure of what just really happened- still processing it all.

"So much for a 5 star restaurant huh. I might be a little Karen and complain on Yelp."

He brought you into a tight hug and kissed the top of your head as you laughed at his comment.

"My precious girl."

The pain had been a scary moment for you, but you found it hard to feel anxious when Jay made you feel so safe and comfortable.
