(Y/N's Pov)
I explored every page of my journal, from magical beasts to precious loved ones. I grinned at the memory of when one of us had the idea of dressing up one of the baby griffs; the movement of the photograph reminded me like it was just yesterday. Those days back at home were filled with smiles and joy, making them the most enjoyable time of my life.
Though it had all come down to when I received a letter:
Dear Miss Y/N Potter,
I am glad to hear of your development through Professor Kassian's letters. As to the reason why I have personally owl you a letter, is something that I would like to offer you; an offer to attend Hogwarts.
I have already mentioned this to Professor Kassian about it. He solely supports your decision regardless of your answer. I will not urge nor pressure you to choose, but I truly hope that you'd give this a thought.
Yours sincerely,
Headmaster: Albus DumbleDore
A letter from the headmaster himself is truly an honour. I never expected to be invited to one of the prestigious wizarding schools, where my brother, Harry was enrolled at.
I wasn't there when my parents were murdered that night by You-Know-Who. Professor Kassian told me that because of my small fragile body, my health was in a rather dangerous state that they had no choice but to admit me to his private estate. To live separately from my family.
My brother was the only one who survived that night unscathed, other than being scarred for life.
Now, its finally been 14 years since that awful incident happened and to really see and meet my brother in person, made me so nervous yet excited. He knew of me around two years ago when DumbleDore brought news to his ears; news about having a sister.
After knowing about each other's existence, we've been owling each other ever since. He would occasionally write to me about his life at Hogwarts and specific events that unfolded, while I just wrote to him about the things I normally do in my daily life really.
I recently sent him an owl about how I recieved and took upon the offer to transfer to Hogwarts. He replied back the very next day saying he was thrilled to have me come to his school and asked when the date of transfer was. I told him that I wouldn't be admitted till the start of next year, though that being said was a total lie.
I wanted to surprise him, to see and enjoy the look on his face, so I had requested the HeadMaster if it were possible to start at the next new term, fortunately enough, he happily agreed to it.
I closed my journal and slipped it back into my luggage before turning my gaze to the moonlit sky. I was already in a flying carriage provided by a madam named Professor McGonagall, who I assumed it was one of the teachers at the school. She decided that it would be more convenient and much faster paced then going to the Hogwarts Express. It was pretty generous of her to even send me on one of these.
"Hey Lockett, come take a look at this amazing view." I said before a green twig-like creature, similar to a stick insect pops its head out from my front shirt pocket. Lockett crawls out and towards my right shoulder to settle on, while capturing the moments' view.
