Amaya didn't know what to do.

She had woken up and took a moment to realize what she had done and who she done it with. The twenty two year old swiftly turned around, only to see an empty space right next to her. She figured Sakusa might've been in the bathroom, but she didn't hear anything coming from it.

So she texted her two best friends, only to get the opposite what she was asking for but she accepted it either way. Amaya let out a loud sigh as she looked around the room, wondering what to do next.

Should she take the next step and ask what the two are now (relationship wise) or just ignore the situation and pretend like nothing happened?

"I think I should..go back home.."

Once she mumbled that, the door had slowly swung open and her head immediately tilted up to meet the eyes of him. "I made you breakfast." is what Sakusa said to Amaya and immediately her heart fluttered. 'I'm going to marry this man whether he likes it or not.' she thought while gulping.

"Okay, i'll be there." Amaya never felt so quiet with him before. Her words were minimal and she let out a small chuckle because of it. Sakusa nodded his head with a smile as if nothing happened just a few hours ago. He left the door slightly open where she could see a bit of his kitchen.

Sakusa didn't know if he was pushing it or being nice.

He made breakfast for her as if she were his girlfriend! Sakusa was really doubting himself if he really liked her or not, I mean he's cooked for her once before— as friends, but now that they slept together everything about their relationship has changed.

Sakusa didn't like the feeling of being attracted to someone, it made him feel confused for an over thinker like him. He was thinking about whether or not she agreed to sleep with him because he's Sakusa Kiyoomi or because he's himself. That was another reason why he barely dated, because he didn't know if girls were liking him for him or the image he created for himself.

He saw the door open, lifting his head up and watching her step out of his room. Sakusa noticed her awkward state, almost laughing at how his clothes fitted on her. "Morning!" Amaya said, not realizing it was the afternoon but Sakusa let it be and saved her from the embarrassment. "Morning."

Out of all the things she wanted, one thing she didn't want was to be sitting awkwardly with the man she adored since freshman year. Never in her life she would've thought she'd come so far, it almost made her want to cheer herself on because of it, but she didn't even know what she wanted to say to him.

Though, something was holding her back as well.

Amaya knew that Sakusa wasn't the type to just fall in love with any girl, it was another reason why he had his relationship with Mio private. He didn't know whether or not Mio actually liked him for him. Amaya was scared at the fact that he could just go back to Mio at anytime because he was vulnerable to her.

While they were silently eating, Sakusa couldn't bare the quietness anymore and spoke up before she could.

"Would you like to go somewhere?"

"Go where?"

"Anywhere."

———

The two found themselves walking at a park.

They could hear plenty of whispers, all talking about how a star player was just feet away from them. They all saw the girl beside him, wondering if they were dating because the way they looked at each other seemed like they did.

It was around two in the afternoon, almost three and the clouds were in and out of the sun's way. Amaya took a quick picture of the scenery before placing her phone back into her pocket. Sakusa smiled at the small action of hers, walking closer to her while he looked up at the sky.

Amaya would say that this was the first time ever where a guy would take her out on a walk the day after sleeping with each other. The tingling on her fingers signified her nervousness, her sweaty palms, her legs that just wanted to give out.

Everything made her nervous.

"It's nice outside."

Amaya laughed at his unexpected words, the two came to a stop as Sakusa glanced at her. "Sorry, it's really nice outside. Especially for winter." she said, tapping his arm as they continued to walk together.

"Amaya, I want to tell you something."

At that moment, her heart dropped. Amaya nodded her head, gesturing for him to go on. She wondered if he was going to break off their friendship— which she hoped he didn't because she adored it more than anything.

But it turns out, her thoughts were right.

"I think we should stop being friends."

Those exact seven words was something she did not want to hear. "Oh. Is it because of last night? I'll pretend nothing happened, I swear!" Though Sakusa could see her smiling, he could see the heartbreak in her brown eyes. He himself never intended for this to happen, not one bit, but he couldn't help but protect himself from another heartbreak.

"I'm sorry. I really am, Amay—"

"It's fine, I kinda expected it, especially coming from you."
