Chapter 4

Colby woke up during the night due to a massive headache, he checked the time and it 2:13 am. He went upstairs wanting to go to the bathroom but instead walked into Kia's room. "Shit." He mumbled and was starting to close the door till he heard a faint whisper calling his name. It was Kias's voice; he knew in an instant that it was hers. "Yes Kia?" he whispered back while opening the door back up so he can see her face. Her curtains where separated a little so the moonlight reflected off her skin which made Colby smile. "How's your music going." He laughed a little remembering Graduation Day.

 "Thank you, Colby, i just want you to know that I hope we see each other someday in the future, maybe I'll come to one of your concerts by accident" and then he starts to speak up. "I don't know if I'll continue with music but Thank you Kia." He smiles and walks off. 

He looked at her again and smiled. "Great actually, how's your dream going?" then he sat down at the edge of her bed since he didn't want to make her feel uncomfortable by sitting next to her. "Well i got my first Model agency job yesterday so we went exploring to celebrate then well you know i met you for the first time in years." She looked down at her hands while fidgeting with her bracelet placed on her wrist which inconveniently was giving by Colby. "See you kept the bracelet i gave you on the last day." He said blushing a little and he was thankful because the darkness was covering his face. She had no clue how much Colby had thought of her over the past few years, He was going to tell her in that moment on how he waited for more than 7 years on how he felt about her but was interrupted by her clearing her throat. "So..Have you started, i mean like dating anyone yet?" He could tell how uncomfortable she was but shook it off and answered her question. "Not many, my fanbase is quite overwhelming" he said looking out the window as she began talking. "What do you mean overwhelming?" She asked him then he sat up straighter, "If you want you can sit next to me so your back doesn't hurt" he smiled and nodded. He got up and walked over to the top of her bed, watching her move over so he can sit down. "Well to begin they are jealous over random shit, like me having girl mates and think every girl mate i have is my girlfriend. Like if they really cared, they'd let me date who i wanted to date you know" She nodded and kept looking at him while he looked at her. He kept talking on and on about how overwhelming his fanbase is but all she could think of was how much he changed but the one thing she could tell that never changed was his personality. Hes still the boy she remembered, the boy that would help you with your homework or the boy that complimented you. She had liked Colby during Highschool but back then she didn't know if it was just because he gave her attention or because he actually cared about her. She Dad left her when she was 6 so she has daddy issues and gets attached to boys or fictional men quite easily. Colby never wanted to change the way he looked at Kia because he knew that if he changed the way he was about her, he'd probably never see her again.  

Kia never took her eyes off of him even when he was looking at her too. She couldn't express how she felt about him, but she knew that if she told him he'd probably reject her since there's a chance of him having a girlfriend. "Kia?" he asked her, wondering if she was okay since she hadn't spoken in a little while. "Yeah? Sorry i got lost for a moment because uhm... I was looking at your tattoos to see if they have any meaning to them" She smiled. "I can tell you what one of them means if you want" She nodded and sat up crossing her legs while Colby stood up taking his short off. Her face felt hot when she realized he was taking his shirt off. "You see this heart with a lock symbol on it?" She nodded. "It means my heart belongs to someone and it will forever be theirs." He said while sitting back down again. Kia did admit she was abit upset when he had told her them words because she never thought Colby would have found that person yet but obviously, she was wrong.  

Colby was still sat next to her shirtless, he kept thinking of all the possibilities of what could happen right now and none of them were bad. She looked up at him and asked, "Can you stay in here tonight? You don't have to of course i just thought-" "I'll stay with you Kia don't worry." she smiled and let him lay down while putting covers on him. Soon after she closed her eyes and hugged Colby round the torso as long as he was comfortable with it. She fell asleep to the sound of his heartbeat, and he fell asleep to the feeling of happiness.
