Alone...

~Izuku POV~

Mommy'll be alright. She'll be alright. She told me herself. She couldn't have lied. You don't lie to people you love. She didn't lie to me....right...?

I sat in Aunt Mitsuki's lap as she rocked me back and forth. Kacchan held onto my hand. But I wasn't paying attention to anything else.

My mind was full of emotions. Confused. Sad. Scared. Tired. I didn't know what to do except sit there on my Aunty's lap as she comforted me.

30 minutes passed.

2 hours.

Then it seemed like forever.

It was now fully dark outside, meaning it was like around 7 to 8.

I wasn't sure. I honestly didn't care. All I was thinking about was mom. Fortunately, Aunty was an alpha, and she let out a lot of soothing pheromones.

After few moments, the doctor came back.

I finally looked up. I got out of Aunty's lap and walked over to him.

"Doc, how's my mom?"

He sighed and looked down at me. He mustered up a reassuring smile and got down.on one knee to be eye level with me.

"Listen, no matter what happens, I'm sure she'd want you to be brave."

Why is he speaking in past tenses...?

"She wanted me to give you this."

He handed me the locket that mom always wore. I frowned in confusion, then looked at him.

"Doc...?"

"I'm sorry but she didn't make it..."

That's when my whole world shattered.

No dad...

Mom dead...

Never seeing Izumi again...

I don't have a family anymore...

I'm all....alone now...

I clutched the locket in my hand, starting to hyperventilate.

She's gone.

"Deku?" Kacchan walked closer to me. And for the first time I pushed him away.

He looked at me hurt.

"Izuku, are you okay?"

I started backing away from them, slowly.

"Izuku?"

"Hey kid, are you alright?"

"...Izuku?" Kacchan called me.

I looked up to meet his crimson eyes. He seemed to figure out what I was going to do, because he started shaking his head.

"No. Izuku no. Don't...Please..."
