Chapter 4: Newbie

Jae is standing outside my door, probably confused as to why I slammed the door on his face. But right now all I can think about is why he is here.

Maybe he got the wrong house? I hope he did because I just became friends with him again and I think it's to early to go back to the way it was. I know we were best friends before but that train has left and gone. I found a new best friend, Anna. Then she died. I didn't have a friend there for me when I needed one. I don't think I can have anything or anyone else taken from me like that.

I know, I'm being dramatic, but she was like my sister and then she just vanished. Like the world forgot she ever existed and moved on. I, on the other hand, spent days horribly depressed.

Another knock snapped me out of my thoughts. I turned around slowly and grabbed the door knob and hesitantly turned and pulled. He stood there looking like a lost puppy who can't find his home. One hand was raised to his head the other in his jeans pocket.

"Um... I thought- you know that we could um... I remember that this was where you lived and I wanted to see if... Um if you still lived here." He rambled. I would've have laughed if I was wasn't still confused. He looked so cute.

"Um... What?" I asked, still confused.

He sighed. " I th- I thought that I could see if you still lived here. I have to talk to you." He sounded concerned.

I froze. That the same time they used when that told me about Anna's death. I started to panic.

Why would he need to talk to me? Was he joking please be joking. I can't have anyone else die. Wait, did someone even die. I don't know I'm so confused.

"Ok," I replied. " what's up" I tried to sound as calm and collected as possible. But it was really hard with all these thoughts flying around my head.

He looked behind me and then back at me. He reached out for my hand I hesitantly took it.(his hand)
He tugged me outside and closed the door.

"Okay, don't get mad but," he said. I raised my eyebrow. "I went back to the school to find that drunk guy and I found him but I don't think he went to your school." He finished in a rush.

I just stared at him. why would he go through all that trouble just to find a drunkie that chased me?

"Wha- why? And did you find anything else out?" I asked totally surprised.

He looked at me carefully and said "Um... I don't know why I just... Did. And he also said something about him finding what he was looking for but I just think he was a prev." he watched for my reaction.

I froze. What did he mean he said he found what he was looking for? He could just be a perv? I was the only one I the hallway.

"So that's all he said?" I tried to act casual. He looked at me like I was hiding something. I smiled.

"Yes... Well all I could understand anyway, why?" He said.

"No reason, just curious. Um..." I looked down at my phone. 8:01. "We have to get to school, well I do anyway. Talk to you later!" And with that I ran to my car.

The last thought that ran through my mind was how that drunk even found me or if he was even looking for me.

Okay I'm sorry people. I had a whole chapter written but for some reason it got deleted when I went to school. I'm really sorry please don't kill me:(

Anyway, I just posted this little chapter which was a part of the last chapter but it obviously got deleted too so I had to re-write it. I'm going to finish re-writing it by the end of this week hopefully.
