Upcoming Disaster

(Aethers POV)

"So that's my plan" I answer. I just finished explaining my fake plan to Xiao, not my real one. However, it seemed believable enough since he didn't question it.

"Aether, that plan sounds risky" he mentions. Man if he thought this fake one was risky, I can't imagine how he would react to my real one.

"Well, it's the best plan we have" I respond. His brows furrow. He looks into my eyes, trying to change my mind.

"Aether. We have to think of another way that does not put you in harms way" he argues. I mean in my real plan I'm gonna be kicked out of Teyvat, but that I cannot tell him.

"Xiao we don't have enough time to think of another plan. The Doctor is gonna attack soon, maybe even today!" I yell. I start to lose my composure. I know Xiao only wants to help, but I can't let the Doctor get near him again. Not after what happened last time.

"But Aether!" he screams, anger welling up in his voice as well. We continue back and forth. After what seems like hours, we finally calm down, both of us falling completely silent. Neither one of us is mad at the other. We both know that we're trying to protect each other.

"I'm sorry Xiao, but this has to be the only way" I mumble, breaking the suffocating silence between the two of us. He looks up at me.

"I apologize as well Aether. I was getting too emotional. I'm not good with them" he responds. I smile. I lean in and give him a soft kiss on the forehead. His face turns red and he looks up at me.

"Never be mad at me again" he whispers, a pout forming on his lips. I can't stop my giggle, pulling him into a hug, which is eagerly accepts.

"It's almost time. In just one more day, I will finally get rid of the two nuisances that have constantly gotten in my way, especially Aether" The Doctor grins, his voice dripping with evilness.

He walks over to his lab, grabbing a vile of some kind of liquid.

"You can both say goodbye to Teyvat forever"

"Hey Aether, it's almost time" Xiao announces. Aether nods and stands up next to his lover.

Aether had agreed to Xiao about letting him come to the next meeting him and Lumine we're gonna have.

Xiao wanted to be a part of the plan not matter what and since Aether finally agreed, he wasn't gonna let that moment slip.

"Let's go grab Lumine. She's probably waiting at the Chasm by now" Aether chuckles, walks over to the door of the Inn. He can't believe he convinced Xiao this much. He knows Xiao isn't dumb.

The two of them make their way over to the Chasm. Aether had told Lumine in advance that if Xiao ever got suspicious, that he was gonna tell him a fake plan. Now that Xiao is coming to talk with them, Lumine was just gonna have to play along with fake plan until it's time execute the real plan. However at that point there is really no turning back.

Once the Doctor begins his attack, they will have no choice but to let him expel them from Teyvat.

"Let's go fight the Doctor"

Sorry for this chapter being so short. I had no motivation for this chapter what so ever. The next chapter will be long and contain a lot of angst, but don't worry. The story does not end in angst, it's only the next chapter. Until then.
